How to Calculate Marks Using OSSC CTSRE Answer Key 2026?

The provisional answer key allows candidates to estimate their preliminary examination scores before the result is declared.

According to the examination information for CTSRE-2025, the preliminary examination includes negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to an incorrectly answered question.

If each question carries one mark, the estimated score can be calculated as follows:

Estimated Marks = Correct Answers × 1 − Incorrect Answers × 0.25

For example, if a candidate answers 100 questions correctly and 20 incorrectly, the estimated score would be 95 marks.

Candidates must confirm the applicable marking scheme and marks per question from the official examination instructions before calculating their scores.

The score calculated using the tentative answer key is only an estimate. The final evaluation may change if the commission revises any answers after reviewing objections.
