Assam DLRS Land Record Assistant Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must have passed the Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40, in the mandated examination, with an official result declared by the Director of Land Records & Surveys, Assam, covering both Survey and Settlement subjects, prior to the commencement of Government Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13.08.2026.
- Candidates must have proficiency in the use of computers, with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM in English and 15 WPM in Assamese/Bengali.
This recruitment is restricted to candidates who have already completed the RCCC Training and cleared the mandated examination prior to the specified cut-off - it is not open to candidates without this prior training/certification.
Assam DLRS Land Record Assistant Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
Candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 40 years of age as on 01.01.2026. Age relaxation for reserved category candidates is applicable as per Government OM No. ABP.6/2016/51, dated 02.09.2020. The age limit will be calculated based on the Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Mark Sheet issued by a recognised Central/State Board/Council, where age/date of birth is clearly mentioned.

Assam DLRS Land Record Assistant Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection is through a competitive examination comprising two components, for a total of 100 marks.
a. Written Examination (Paper-I) - 80 Marks, Objective Type (MCQ)

The Written Examination carries negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

- Candidates whose applications are accepted will be shortlisted and notified in due course to appear for the Written Examination (MCQ pattern) on a date/time to be notified.
- Candidates who clear the category-wise minimum qualifying marks in the Written Examination, in a ratio decided by the Selection Board, will be called for the Skill Test.
- Only candidates declared qualified by the Selection Board on the basis of the Written Examination will appear for the Skill Test.
- After the Skill Test, shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification, where they must produce original documents along with self-attested copies.
- The final merit list is prepared on the aggregate marks of the Written Examination and Skill Test, subject to candidates securing the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in both components and fulfilling all eligibility conditions upon document verification.
- Selection is strictly on merit and applicable category-wise reservation. Mere availability of vacancies does not entitle any candidate to selection, and vacancies may remain unfilled if insufficient candidates secure the minimum qualifying marks.
