Eligibility Criteria
- Matriculation (10th or equivalent).
- Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, including multi-use appliances and equipments like fire engines, fogger, fire pumps, foam branches etc.
- Must be familiar with the use and maintenance of all fire and Fire Fighting Appliances and Tender Fire pump.
- Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting employed in fighting different types of fire.
- Must be conversant with tool and appliance Fire Service Units and be able to perform the task allotted to the personnel of a Fire Crew.
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the test specified in Para 10 below.
- Matriculation pass or equivalent from recognised Board.
- Must be conversant with the duties of Stoker.
Salary/ Stipend
- Pay Matrix Level 2 Rs 19,900-63,200/- and other allowances
- Pay Matrix Level-1 Rs 19,900-63,200/- and other allowances
Age Limit (as on the last date of receipt of application)
- For Unreserved & EWS candidates - 18 to 25 years (Relaxable for Government Servant upto 35 years as per extant rules by the Central Government).
Selection Process
- Selection will be subject to medical fitness and verification of character and antecedents from civil authorities.
General Information/ Instructions
- The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the last date of receipt of application.
- SC/ST/OBC candidates who apply against unreserved post will not be given any concession of reserved category status will be considered in the Un-reserved category.
- The benefits of reservation under EWS can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.
- All posts are temporary but likely to be permanent under Ministry of Defence with probation period of two years.
- Candidates after selection will be subject to "All India Service Liability Rules".
