A total of 69 Senior Resident (Non-Academic) posts are vacant, divided into Broad Specialty (42 posts) and Super Specialty (27 posts) departments.

In case of non-availability of EWS candidates, the post shall be filled under the UR category. Unreserved category candidates can also apply against reserved posts; if considered due to unavailability of a reserved-category candidate, their engagement in such cases will be for a period of 44 days only from the date of joining. 4% of the total posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) (non-surgical jobs only) among Senior Resident posts.

AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the following essential qualifications to apply for the AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident (Non-Academic) walk-in interview.

• A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule, or Part II of the third schedule, of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 (candidates with Part II third schedule qualifications must also fulfil the conditions of Section 13(3) of the Act).
• Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council.
• A postgraduate degree, i.e., MD/MS/DNB as per MCI rule in the specialty concerned, or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute.
• Candidates must hold a valid qualification (pass certificate) as on the last date for receipt of applications.

For the departments below, candidates may apply through either the medical or the non-medical route.

The prescribed qualification is the minimum requirement; merely possessing it does not entitle a candidate to selection. Only candidates who have been declared successful in their qualifying degree examination, and who will complete their tenure for the same on or before the crucial date, will be eligible.

AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Salary 2026

Selected Senior Residents (Non-Academic) will be paid as per the following pay matrix, along with admissible allowances applicable to Government of India employees stationed at Bilaspur, H.P.

The tenure of the post is 3 years for Broad Specialty and 2 years for Super Specialty (extendable with approval of the Executive Director), provided the candidate's overall past residency period at AIIMS Bilaspur or another institute does not exceed the stipulated period.

• Upper Age Limit: 45 years (age as on crucial date)

Note: The notification states the upper age limit is determined as on the last date of submission of online applications; however, this recruitment is conducted via walk-in interview with no online application form specified, so candidates should confirm the exact crucial date with AIIMS Bilaspur. Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted for determining age, and no subsequent request for change will be considered. • Walk-in Interview will be held at the Administrative Block, 3rd Floor, AIIMS Bilaspur, Kothipura, Himachal Pradesh-174037.
• Candidates are required to report on or before 09:00 AM on 21.08.2026.
• Candidates must appear physically before the interview board; no request for an online interview will be entertained.
• Based on verification of original documents, the Screening Committee may shortlist candidates for interview.
• Only original certificates of candidates selected for the post of Senior Resident will be verified, including MBBS degree certificate, Internship Completion Certificate, qualifying degree certificate, Medical Registration Certificate, Date of Birth Certificate/10th Standard Certificate, Caste Certificate, and other relevant certificates.

AIIMS Bilaspur Senior Resident Walk-in Interview Process

Since this is a walk-in recruitment, candidates are NOT required to fill any online application form. The process to be followed is:

1. Prepare a duly filled and signed original application form.
2. Fill and keep ready Annexure-II (Proforma/Checklist for the post of Senior Resident), to be submitted during document verification before the interview.
3. Carry one set of self-attested photocopies of Degrees, Certificates, Mark sheets, Age proof, Caste certificates, PwBD certificate (if applicable), and Publications (Pub-Med, Non-PubMed)/Awards, if any.
4. Carry all original documents for verification at the time of the interview.
5. Pay the application fee (if applicable) via NEFT and carry proof of payment.
6. Report in person at the Recruitment Cell, 3rd Floor, Administrative Block, AIIMS Bilaspur, Kothipura, Himachal Pradesh, on or before 09:00 AM on 21.08.2026.

Candidates working in Central/State Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous Institutions must submit a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview, clearly stating they will be permitted to join AIIMS Bilaspur if selected; interview participation is allowed only on production of the original NOC.

• Incomplete forms or applications without required documents will not be considered for further processing and will be rejected.
• Reservation for OBC/EWS/SC/ST is as per Central Government rules, with 4% reservation for PwBD candidates (non-surgical jobs, horizontal basis).
• OBC candidates must attach a non-creamy layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026 (valid for financial year 2026-27).
• EWS candidates must have a valid income & asset certificate (family income below Rs. 8 lakh) issued on or after 01.04.2026 for FY 2026-27.
• SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificates must be issued by a Tehsildar or above-rank authority in the prescribed Central Government format.
• Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
• Private practice of any type is strictly prohibited for selected candidates.
• Selected candidates may be posted at any place in the Institute and may be required to work in shifts, as per the discretion of the MS/Dean/Executive Director.
• The appointment is as per the Government of India's Residency Scheme and can be terminated by either side with one month's notice or one month's salary in lieu of notice.
• A waiting list will be maintained; vacancies arising from non-joining or resignation will be offered to waitlisted candidates as per merit.
• No travelling or other allowances will be paid for attending the interview or joining the post.
• Appointment is provisional and subject to the candidate being declared medically fit by the competent Medical Board and verification of credentials.
• All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Court of Law at Bilaspur, H.P.
• The Executive Director, AIIMS Bilaspur, reserves the right to cancel the advertisement or amend/modify the number of vacancies at any time without assigning any reason.
