Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications (Junior Research Fellow (JRF)): Essential: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/ Genetics/ Biotechnology and other allied disciplines. Desirable: Prior experience in independent handling of laboratory procedures in Human Genetics after obtaining Master’s degree.
- Qualifications (Laboratory Technician): Essential: BSc MLT / DMLT. Desirable: 2 years of experience of working in laboratory setting and running various biochemistry and hematology analyzer. Basic knowledge of computers and data entry in excel spreadsheets.
- Qualifications (Project Coordinator): Essential: (i) MPH/PhD in public health or related discipline or (ii) Post Graduate degree in any area of science with three years’ experience in project management or (iii) MBBS/BDS/BVSc with three years of experience in project management. Desirable: Prior experience in handling community-based projects.
- Qualification and experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from an institute of repute. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
Salary/Stipend
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹ 37,000 (Consolidated).
- Laboratory Technician: ₹ 23,200/- (Consolidated).
- Project Coordinator: ₹ 60,000/- (Consolidated) per Month as sanctioned by DBT.
- No other allowances/facilities other than consolidated salary shall be extended.
Age Limit (as on 30-12-2025)
- Maximum Age for JRF and Laboratory Technician: 30 Years.
- Maximum Age for Project Coordinator: 45 Years.
- Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates is up to a maximum period of 5 years and for OBC candidate up to a maximum period of 3 years. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Govt. of India rules.

Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be intimated via e-mail to appear for the written test, skill assessment and interview.
- The mode of selection will be through personal interviews or skill test or both type.
- On the day of interview, written test (MCQ based) with subsequent skill assessment may be conducted for screening.
- Assessment will be conducted in physical mode in the Department of Anatomy, AIIMS, MIHAN, Nagpur-441108.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test, skill assessment and interview.
General Information/Instructions
- The posts are purely on contract basis for an external sponsored project (DBT), and no claim for any other regular post in AIIMS Nagpur shall be entertained.
- Duration of first appointment will be for 12 months. The contract will be renewed based on the performance evaluation.
- In case the performance is not satisfactory, the candidate can be terminated with a notice of one week.
- Selected candidate will have to be stationed at the Institute or project field site (Gadchiroli) for implementation of the project.
- The decision of the Principal Investigator will be final.
