All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna (AIIMS Patna) has announced 2 vacancies for the Project Clinician post under a project-based engagement. Eligible candidates must apply by email and also submit a hard copy to the Research Division AIIMS Patna on or before 17 October 2026. The tenure of the assignment is purely on a contract basis for a period of 3 months. Applicants must possess an MBBS, MBBS with DGO, or MBBS with MD/MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or Community & Family Medicine. The notified pay for the post is Rs. 80,000 - 1,20,000 per month. The selection process consists of application screening followed by an interview at AIIMS Patna.

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

Essential Qualification: Any one of the following: 1. MBBS degree from a recognized university or institution. 2. MBBS with Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (DGO) from a recognized university or institution. 3. MBBS with MD / MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or Community & Family Medicine from a recognized university or institution.

Essential Criteria - 1: Registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council is mandatory at the time of application.

Essential Experience: Experience of working in peripheral health facilities, particularly in maternal health or related clinical services of working in a peripheral health facility. Additional clinical exposure in obstetric care, including antenatal and labor room management, will be preferred.

Age Limit: 40 years as on the day of interview.

AIIMS Patna Project Clinician Job Description

• Responsible for the continuous monitoring and real-time review of fetal monitoring tracings transmitted from peripheral health centers through the Central Monitoring System.
• Ensure prompt identification of abnormal patterns or technical issues in the tracings and initiate necessary communication with Project Assistants or local clinical teams for follow-up actions.
• Will be given shift-wise duty, including night shifts, to ensure uninterrupted supervision of incoming data round the clock.
• Serve as a key of contact for all clinical coordination and troubleshooting, maintaining consistent communication with the Project Assistants deployed at peripheral sites.
• Document all observed clinical concerns, follow-up actions, and system-related issues in a timely and organized manner.
• Support the central team in generating daily summaries, alerts, or incident reports as needed for effective project oversight.
• Collaborate with the PI / Co-Pi for referral decisions, intervention planning, or escalation of clinical events based on the monitored data.
• Additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator or Competent Authority within the scope of the study.
