AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Walk in for 75 Posts

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna (AIIMS Patna) has released the official notification for recruitment of Senior Residents (Non-Academic) on an ad-hoc basis for a period of 89 days across various departments. A total of 75 vacancies have been announced through the AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Ad-hoc Recruitment 2026.

Candidates with an MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch or equivalent Post Graduate Degree recognised by NMC/NBE, and aged up to 45 years, are eligible to apply. The selection will be conducted entirely through a Walk-in Interview on 16, 17, and 18 April 2026 at AIIMS Patna. There is no online application - candidates must appear directly on the interview date for their department.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Post Graduate Degree - MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch or equivalent - in the relevant department, recognised by the Medical Council of India/NMC/NBE. For Clinical Haematology seats, candidates with MD in General Medicine or MD in Paediatrics will also be considered.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 45 years as on the date of walk-in interview (cut-off date). Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates applying for unreserved vacancies will not be eligible for age relaxation. Reserve category candidates eligible only by age relaxation will be considered solely for reserved seats of their category.

Reservation

Reservation for EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST candidates is as per Central Government rules. 4% horizontal reservation is applicable for PwBD candidates. OBC-NCL certificate must be valid for Central Government posts and not older than 1 year from the date of interview. EWS certificate must similarly not be older than 1 year.

Rs. 67,700/- as per 7th CPC, Level–11 of the Pay Matrix + NPA + usual allowances as admissible.

AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Application Fee

The fee must be paid via Demand Draft only, drawn in favour of AIIMS, Patna, payable at AIIMS, Patna. Cash, cheque, UPI, money orders, postal orders, or any other mode of payment will not be accepted and such applications will be summarily rejected. The application fee is non-refundable.

AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

Selection to the posts of Senior Resident (Non-Academic) will be entirely through a Walk-in Interview. There is no written examination.

• Eligibility will be verified on the day of the walk-in interview through original documents.
• Qualification and experience will be counted as on the date of interview.
• In case of a tie (same marks), the older candidate (earlier date of birth) will be ranked higher.
• The final result will be displayed on the institute website: www.aiimspatna.edu.in. No individual intimation will be sent.
• Selected candidates must join within the stipulated date mentioned in the offer of appointment.
• Selection is subject to medical fitness as declared by the Medical Board appointed by the Institute.

How to Apply for AIIMS Patna Senior Resident Recruitment 2026

There is no online application process. Eligible candidates must appear directly at the walk-in interview venue on their respective department's date.

1. Collect documents: Gather originals and one set of self-attested copies of - Aadhaar Card, Date of Birth proof (SSC/HSSC certificate), MBBS Degree Certificate, MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch Degree or Provisional Certificate, UG & PG NMC/State Registration Certificate, Category/PwBD Certificate (if applicable), Experience Certificate (if any), NOC from present employer (for Govt./Pvt. employees), and any research/publication documents.

2. Arrange Demand Draft: Obtain a DD for the applicable fee amount drawn in favour of AIIMS, Patna, payable at AIIMS, Patna. (Exempted for Ex-servicemen, Women, and PwBD candidates.)

3. Carry a passport-size photograph: Bring a recent colour photograph against a light/white background. Caps, hats, and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed if the face is clearly visible.

4. Report on your department's interview date: Arrive by 09:00 AM at the E-classroom, Administrative Building, AIIMS Patna. The interview begins from 10:00 AM onwards at the Committee Room, Administrative Building, AIIMS Patna.

5. Fill the application form on the day: Complete the application form at the venue with correct personal, educational, and category details. All signatures must be in full (not abbreviated) and consistent across all documents. Once submitted, no changes can be made.
