Andaman & Nicobar Forest Department Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process

Selection will be made through a Physical Endurance Test consisting of three different levels. Candidates participating in Level-I, II & III Tests shall furnish an undertaking that they are physically fit & mentally sound to undertake the test. Candidates failing any test shall not be given a second chance under any circumstances.

Level-I Test (Running Test): Qualifying for short-listing

  • Male: Must complete 10 km
  • Female: Must complete 8 km
  • 15 times the number of vacancies shall be shortlisted.

Level-II Test (Long Jump): Qualifying in nature (to be cleared within three attempts)

Level-III Test (Weight Carrying Test): For final selection/merit

  • Male: Carry 30 kg weight for 500 meters
  • Female: Carry 20 kg weight for 500 meters

Merit list shall be prepared for exact number of vacancies + wait list (maximum 10% of vacancies notified) based on Level-III performance. ST/OBC/EWS candidates selected on merit without relaxed standards will be accommodated against unreserved vacancies. Reserved vacancies will be filled from eligible ST/OBC/EWS domiciled in A&N Islands.

Final selection is subject to verification of certificates, character & antecedents, and medical examination. Selected candidates will undergo 2 years probation.

A. Online Application Process

  1. The candidate should register their full particulars of the Application through online only at https://erecruitment.andamannicobar.gov.in
  2. The online application will be accepted from 16/03/2026 (from 11:00 Hrs) to 29/04/2026 (up to 23:59 Hrs).
  3. Candidates should provide all the mandatory details in the online portal. Failing which the application will not be accepted by the website.
  4. Photograph to be uploaded should be:
    • 8-bit JPEG format
    • Size between 10 Kb to 50 Kb
    • Resolution 100 × 200 pixels
  5. It is advised to enable JavaScript in the browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) for successful upload.
  6. The website will allow the applicant to take printout forthwith of the submitted application. Those who fail to take printout immediately can download the filled-in form later also.
  7. All candidates who have registered their name in the local Employment Exchange as unemployed must enter their registration number in the appropriate box while filling the online application.

B. Documents to be submitted at the time of Document Verification (after Physical Test)

Candidates shortlisted after the Physical Test must bring:

  • One copy of recent passport-size photograph
  • Self-attested copies of:
    • Essential Qualification Certificate (10th Pass or ITI in relevant trade)
    • 10th Pass Certificate (showing Date of Birth)
    • OBC/ST/EWS/MSP Certificate (if applicable)
    • Meritorious Sports Person Certificate (if applicable)
    • Employment Registration Certificate/Card (if registered)
    • Printed copy of the Online Application Form

Important Notes from PDF

  • Applications received without the prescribed fee (₹100 for General/OBC/EWS/MSP) shall be summarily rejected.
  • Women candidates and ST candidates are exempted from fee payment.
