- A B.Ed (General) degree from an NCTE recognised institute is mandatory; only General B.Ed is acceptable for teaching Classes IX–X as per the Education Department instructions.
- B.Ed (Special Education) is not treated as an alternative professional qualification for APPSC TGT (Secondary) posts.
- The minimum duration of the B.Ed programme should be two years including mandatory school internship; however, one‑year B.Ed degrees obtained before 2015 are also considered eligible.
- Candidates who have completed a Four‑Year Integrated Degree Programme with B.Ed (General) are eligible, provided they meet the subject‑specific requirements.
- Students who are still in the final year/final semester of Bachelor’s Degree or B.Ed are not eligible to apply for APPSC TGT 2026.
- Each candidate is allowed to apply for only one TGT (Secondary) post/subject under this recruitment.
