Eligibility Criteria

Nationality & Cut-off Date

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.​

  • Educational qualification, age and experience will be reckoned as on 10-04-2026 (closing date).​

Educational Qualification (All Posts)

  • Must have passed Class X / Matric or equivalent from a recognised Board.​

  • For Constable Band (IRBn): 10th pass with knowledge of playing band.​

  • For Constable Bugler (IRBn): 10th pass with knowledge of playing bugle.​

Age Relaxation:

  • APST candidates: up to 5 years over the upper age limit.​

  • Constable Civil Police (Female):

Application Fees

  • APST candidates: ₹150 (non-refundable).​

  • Unreserved candidates: ₹200 (non-refundable).​

  • Fee to be paid online only; no other mode is accepted.​

Selection Process – Stages

Selection will be done through multiple stages depending on the post.​

For Post Codes 5/26 to 10/26

  • Stage I: Written Examination – Objective Type, 200 marks, 2 hours.​

    • General Awareness – 50 marks

    • General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability – 50 marks

    • Arithmetical & Numerical Ability – 50 marks

    • English Language & Comprehension – 50 marks​

    • Minimum 33% aggregate marks required; no negative marking.​

  • Stage II: Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Trade Test (where applicable).​

    • For Constable Band & Bugler: Trade Test in playing band/bugle.​

    • Candidates shortlisted for Stage II in 1:3 ratio, subject to written exam cut-off.​

    • Ex-Servicemen exempted from PET & Trade Test but must qualify PST.​

  • Stage III: Medical Fitness Test.​

For Post Code 11/26 (Special Tiger Guard)

  • Stage I: Written Examination (same pattern).​

  • Stage II: PST & PET as per standards.​

PST, PET, Trade Test and Medical Fitness Test are qualifying in nature; final merit is based on written exam and preference of posts.​
