Eligibility Criteria – Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Recruitment 2026
For PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) Posts
- Retired Teachers: Candidates must be retired teachers from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sainik School, Kendriya Vidyalaya or Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad.
- Age Limit: Age should not exceed 65 years as on 31 March 2026. Candidates with lower age will be given preference.
- Health Condition: Good health condition is essential.
- Preference: Award-winning teachers will be given preference.
- Honorarium: Rs. 65,000 per month. No other allowances will be paid.
For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) Posts
- Retired Teachers: Candidates must be retired teachers from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sainik School, Kendriya Vidyalaya or Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad.

Important Note
Teachers already working in Atal Awasiya Vidyalayas are not eligible to apply for posts with the same pay scale/honorarium.
Selection Process – Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Recruitment 2026
Selection will be done on contract basis for one academic year (2026-27) based on the scrutiny of applications and credentials of eligible candidates.The contract duration may be increased or decreased at the discretion of Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya Samiti. Award-winning teachers and candidates with lower age will be given preference in the selection process.
