Eligibility Criteria

• Probationary Engineer (Electronics) in EII Grade: B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication / Telecommunication
• Probationary Engineer (Mechanical) in EII Grade: B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate in Mechanical
• Probationary Engineer (Computer Science) in E-II Grade: B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engg & Computer Science Engg
• Probationary Engineer (Electrical) in E-II Grade: B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering

 Age Limit (as on 01-10-2025)

• Maximum Age limit: 25 Years for General Candidates
• Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates.
• In respect of PwBD candidates, upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years. In respect of PwBD candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL) category, the age relaxation admissible will be in addition to the relaxation admissible for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL).
• Certificate issued by a Board of Secondary Education for passing Matriculation/Higher Secondary mentioning the date of birth shall be the only acceptable document in support of proof of age.
• In case of non-availability of the date of birth in the Matriculation/Higher Secondary school certificate, Birth certificate issued by competent authority will be considered.

Application Fee

• For GEN/EWS/OBC (NCL) category: Rs 1000/- + GST, i.e Rs. 1180/-
• For SC/ST/PwBD/ESM candidates: NIL
• Candidates are required to enter all information correctly in the online application form and verify the same before submission, as changes shall not be permitted after submission of the application form.
• Prior to paying the application fee, candidates are required to carefully go through the advertisement and pay the fees only after making sure he/ she is eligible to apply for the said posts.
• Application fee once paid will not be refunded by the Company/ Bank to the applicants. Non-receipt of the application fee for UR/EWS & OBC (NCL) candidates will lead to rejection of application

Selection Process

• Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and whose online applications have been accepted will be provisionally shortlisted for the computer based test.
• The minimum qualifying marks is 35% for General/OBC/EWS candidates and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates in both computer based test and interview separately.
• Based on the performance in the computer based test, candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5. Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in both the computer based test and interview.
• The weightage for Computer based test is 85 marks and interview is 15 marks.
• Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and whose online applications are accepted are required to log on to the BEL website and enter their credentials to access and download their computer based test call letter.
• Candidates are required to print the call letter and comply with the instructions indicated therein.
• Please note that call letters will not be sent separately through e-mail or through conventional mail.
• Candidates, whose applications are accepted through the process of submission of online applications, are eligible to attend the computer based test at the respective centre.
• The call letters will be uploaded on the BEL website.
• The candidate belonging to General /OBC (NCL)/EWS need to score a minimum of 35% to clear the Computer Based Test and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD need to score a minimum of 30%.
• Based on the Computer Based Test score, candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the order of merit in the ratio 1:5. The weightage for Computer based test is 85 marks and interview is 15 marks.

• Candidates in their own interest are advised to apply & submit application promptly and not to wait till the last date/time for applying online.
• BEL shall not be responsible if candidates are not able to submit their applications on account of the last minute rush.
• Please retain print-out of application form & payment acknowledgement slip for future references.
