Illustrative Pay & Age Grades
Exact pay and age limits are specified against each individual post on the centre's listing. The table below (from the Bengaluru notification) illustrates how C-DAC's typical grade structure is set up, as a reference:
Candidates with experience higher than the minimum required for a grade will be offered additional increments as per C-DAC policy. Pay figures vary by centre, domain, and specific post — always check the individual post listing for the exact bracket.
Eligibility – Qualification & Experience (Common Rules)
Qualification
- For all posts, candidates should have qualified from an AICTE/UGC-approved college/institute or recognized university.
- Where a university follows CGPA/DGPA/OGPA or letter grades, the candidate must submit proof of the percentage equivalent and awarded class, along with the degree certificate.
- Candidates in their final semester, who will complete the course before appointment, may also apply; if selected, joining is contingent on passing with the required minimum score.
Experience
- Candidates should apply only if they possess the relevant post-qualification experience sought for the post, where specified.
- Teaching/research work, non-profit organization experience, and internships/academic project placements are not counted as experience unless specified.
- Experience certificates from previous/current employers must clearly indicate the period of employment, salary drawn, and post held.
- C-DAC internal candidates need to have completed at least 2 years' service in C-DAC (as of the notification date) to apply for notified positions.
- Experience claimed without supporting documents will not be considered and is liable to be rejected.
Important: Meeting the minimum qualification and experience does not automatically entitle a candidate to a written test, skill test, or interview call. C-DAC may restrict the number of candidates called, based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed.
Age Limit & Relaxation
- The upper age limit is specified against each individual post (see the Pay & Age Grades table above for typical ranges).
- SC/ST/OBC, physically challenged (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India norms.
- Government employees on a pay scale get a 5-year age relaxation, in addition to other applicable relaxations.
- The cut-off date for age and experience is the last date of application submission for the respective centre.
- SSLC/SSC/ISC mark sheet/certificate, or any other valid document, is accepted as proof of date of birth.
- The EWS certificate must strictly follow the DoPT-prescribed format (available at www.persmin.nic.in); the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate must also be in the prescribed format.
Selection Process
- Initial screening based on academic records and other parameters declared in the online application; only screened-in candidates proceed further.
- C-DAC may raise the minimum eligibility criteria/cut-offs at its discretion if the number of applicants is high for any post.
- Candidates are evaluated on academic credentials, experience profile, written test marks (if applicable), and interview performance.
- The selection process is carried out independently by each C-DAC centre, based on its own requirements; only shortlisted candidates are contacted.
- All submitted information is verified against original documents at document verification or any later stage; false or non-conforming information leads to rejection/cancellation at any stage.
Note: Mere issue of an interview call letter does not imply acceptance of candidature or selection for the post. No TA/DA is paid for attending a written test or interview.
