CUPB Faculty Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- As per UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges, 2018 and amendments
- For Department of Education (ITEP): As per Appendix-15 of NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Amendment Regulations, 2021
- For Department of Physical Education: As per NCTE Regulations 2014 and amendments
- For Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning: As per AICTE Guidelines in addition to UGC Regulations
- For Department of Applied Agriculture: Specific PG and PhD qualifications in relevant specialization required
Good Academic Record: Minimum 55% marks at Master's level and minimum 50% marks at Bachelor's level (or equivalent grades).
Age Limit: No candidate will be considered beyond 64 years of age for regular appointment.
For OCI Card Holders: Persons registered as Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 are also eligible to apply.
Reservations: SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD/EWS relaxations as per Government of India/UGC rules. OBC (NCL) and EWS certificates must be issued on or after 01.04.2026.

Separate application along with fee must be submitted for each post applied for. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
CUPB Faculty Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
Shortlisting: Based on API (Academic Performance Indicator) scores as per UGC Regulations. For one post, up to 25 candidates will be shortlisted; for two posts of the same category, up to 35 candidates. For posts with Concerned/Relevant/Allied subjects, top 13 from Concerned Subject group and top 12 from Relevant/Allied group will be called per post.
Selection: Direct recruitment through All India advertisement and selection by duly constituted Selection Committees. The process may include presentation/seminar/interview or a combination thereof.
Interview: Candidates may be interviewed in person or through Video Conferencing. SC/ST/PwD outstation candidates will be reimbursed to-and-fro rail fare (as per GoI Rules) for attending interview.
The University reserves the right to shortlist/select candidates as per specialization/research area requirement and to place a reasonable limit on total candidates called for interview.
How to Apply for CUPB Faculty Recruitment 2026
Step 1 – Visit the online application portal: curec.samarth.ac.in
Step 2 – Register and fill in a separate online application form for each post applied for, along with the required application fee.
Step 3 – Professors and Associate Professors must fill the API/Research Score form strictly in the format provided in UGC Regulations 2018 (Table 2 of Appendix II). Assistant Professor applicants must fill shortlisting criteria as per Table 3A of Appendix II.
Step 4 – Upload all required documents including qualification certificates, mark sheets, experience certificate (with Date of Joining, Date of Relieving, designation, pay scale, date of promotion), at least one salary slip per financial year for each claimed experience, Form-16 (for Non-Government organizations), NOC from employer (if currently employed in Government/Semi-Government/PSU/Autonomous body), caste/disability/EWS certificate as applicable, and equivalence certificate for foreign PhD (if applicable).
Step 5 – Preview and verify all details before final submission. Incomplete applications or those without fee and required enclosures will be summarily rejected.
Step 6 – Submit the application before 27 April 2026 (05:00 PM IST). No hard copy of the application form should be sent to the University.
Step 7 – Retain a duly signed printout of the online application form along with all enclosures for future reference.
