NHM Surguja Salary / Remuneration
Salary is a fixed monthly contractual honorarium ranging from ₹10,000 (Class 4 posts) to ₹27,500 (Dental Surgeon), depending on the post - see the table above for post-wise figures. The notification specifies that only the consolidated monthly honorarium is paid during the contract period, with no other allowance or facility.

NHM Surguja Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted and selected as follows:
- Educational Qualification – 65% weightage: based on the average percentage of marks obtained across all years of the Graduation/Post-Graduation qualification (grade-to-percentage conversion applies where relevant, per the grading scheme followed by the candidate's institution)
- Skill Test / Written Test – 20 marks: conducted post-wise (written or computer-based, as applicable); candidates must score a minimum of 30% to remain eligible
- Experience – 10 or 15 marks: only experience relevant to the applied post is counted. Candidates currently/previously working under NHM Chhattisgarh get 3 marks/year (maximum 15); other candidates get 2 marks/year (maximum 10). Experience is counted only for government, semi-government, or government-aided institutions, and only for work performed after completing the prescribed qualification
- COVID-19 Bonus Marks: 10 bonus marks for candidates who served as temporary health workers in Chhattisgarh government health institutions for at least 6 months during the pandemic (Class 3/4 posts), per the Under Secretary, CG Health & Family Welfare Department order dated 03.02.2023; a candidate cannot claim both experience marks and bonus marks
- Final Merit List (posts with skill test): Educational Qualification marks + Experience/Bonus marks + Skill Test marks (out of 100)
- Screening-to-interview ratio: for 1–10 advertised posts, 10x candidates called; for 11–50 posts, 5x; for 50+ posts, 3x
- In case of equal marks, the candidate with the earlier date of birth (i.e. older in age) is given seniority
- A waiting list is prepared - 200% of sanctioned posts for up to 25 posts, 150% for 26–50 posts, and 100% for 50+ posts - valid for a minimum of one year or until the next fresh recruitment notification

This is an offline recruitment. Eligible candidates must send their application by registered post or speed post - online/email/in-person submissions are not mentioned in the notification.

- Fill in the application clearly, without errors, mentioning the post name, programme name, and category (Unreserved/OBC/SC/ST) at the top.
- Self-attest photocopies of all required documents (see Documents Required section) and staple/tie the application with all documents as a single set.

NHM Surguja Important Instructions
- Only candidates who are original residents of Chhattisgarh are eligible; a residence certificate is mandatory at the time of document verification.
- Incomplete, unclear, or erroneous applications will be rejected; attaching unnecessary documents can also invalidate the application.
- No certificate or document will be accepted after the application deadline under any circumstance.
- All posts are purely contractual for one financial year at a time, governed by the NHM Chhattisgarh Contractual Human Resources Policy 2018 (as amended); the contract is automatically terminated on regular recruitment to the post.
- Selected candidates must make their place of posting their headquarters and reside there; the posting location is non-transferable, and requests for transfer will be treated as indiscipline.
- Selected candidates must submit an affidavit on ₹50 stamp paper in the prescribed format after selection.
- Candidates currently employed in government/semi-government institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
- Candidates previously dismissed from government service, or terminated from NHM or any government department for indiscipline, financial irregularity, or misconduct, are not eligible for any post.
- Selection does not automatically confer a right to appointment; final appointment depends on actual vacancy availability and other criteria.
- The recruitment process is subject to the final order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in SLP(C) No. 19668/2022; appointments are made subject to the outcome of that petition.
- Any legal dispute arising from this recruitment falls under the jurisdiction of the Surguja (Ambikapur) courts only, and the final decision on any dispute rests with the appointing authority/Chairperson of the District Selection Committee, Surguja.
