Cochin Shipyard Guarantee Engineer Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

Cochin Shipyard is recruiting candidates for 1 Guarantee Engineer on contract basis vacancy under advertisement number Cochin Shipyard/P&A/RECTT/CONTRACT/Guarantee Engineer/2026/13. The contract tenure is for a period of three years, extendable for a further period of two years. Eligible applicants must hold a pass in X Standard and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in Indian Navy. The monthly pay for the post ranges from Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,06,090. Who Can Apply

Applicants must meet the following educational and experience criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Pass in X Standard, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in Indian Navy from a recognized University/Institute/Examination Board. Equivalency certificate is required for equivalent qualifications.
• Experience: Essential: Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in operation, maintenance, and watchkeeping of marine equipment and systems on Indian Naval Surface Ships / Submarines as an Ex-Indian Navy personnel.
• Desirable: Knowledge of propulsion systems fitted on Naval Surface Ships / Submarines, equipment, administrative procedures of the Indian Navy, Marine Main Engines, Gearboxes, Auxiliary machineries (Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, Sewage Treatment, Oily Water Separator, PGD systems, weapon equipment, sensors, deck machineries), and proficiency in computer-based data management & record keeping.
• Restriction: Only Ex-Indian Navy Personnel shall apply. The post is not identified as suitable for PwBDs.

Pay and Tenure

The consolidated monthly pay is Rs. 1,00,000/- for the first year, Rs. 1,03,000/- for the second year, and Rs. 1,06,090/- for the third year. The contract tenure is for a period of three years and is extendable for a further period of two years subject to organizational requirements and individual performance.

2. Access the SAP Online portal via the Cochin Shipyard website to complete the One-time Registration and submit the application between 12 October 2026 and 30 October 2026.
3. Upload all required certificates for proof of age, educational qualification, experience, discharge certificate/book/PPO from the Indian Navy, and a recent passport size colour photograph.
4. Remit the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 400/- (plus bank charges extra) using online payment options (Debit card, Credit card, or Internet Banking) if applicable. SC/ST candidates are exempted.
5. Verify all entries, submit the application successfully, ensure the status shows as "In process", and retain a soft copy or printout of the application containing the unique registration number.

Selection and Interview

The selection method is through a Personal Interview out of 100 marks. Candidates must successfully complete certificate verification before attending the Personal Interview. Cochin Shipyard may shortlist candidates based on eligibility requirements ascertained from uploaded certificates. The rank list is prepared based on marks secured in the Personal Interview, with seniority in age deciding relative merit in case of ties.
