Eligibility Criteria
- Essential qualifications: MBBS degree from recognized University/ Institute
- Desirable: Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in Medicine/ Paediatrics/ Obstetrics and Gynaecology or equivalent.
- Candidates having 01 year experience in Govt./ Private Hospital will be given preference.
- Experience: 01 year experience in Govt./ Private Hospital will be given preference.
Salary/Stipend
- Selected candidate will be paid a consolidated honorarium of Rs.46,020/- (Rupees Forty-Six Thousand and Twenty Only) per month for performing 03 hours duty per day.

Selection Process
- The Part Time Medical Officer will be selected on the basis of performance in “Walk-in-Interview”. Preference will be given to those who have desirable qualification and experience.
General Information/Instructions
1. The date for determining age/qualification and experience shall be the date of the walk-in interview.
2. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the walk-in interview or for joining, if selected.
3. The above position is purely temporary on Contract basis. Candidate engaged in this position will not have any right implicit or explicit for consideration for regularization/ absorption against any CSIR/NIO post(s).
4. Leave: The Part Time Medical Officer would not be entitled for any kind of regular leave. However, they will be entitled for 12 days leave in a calendar year, to be calculated on pro-rata basis.
5. Tax deduction at Sources: The Income Tax or any other tax liable as per the prevailing rules will be deducted at source before affecting the payment for which the office will issue TDS certificate.
6. Confidentiality of data, information and documents: The information, data and documents related to the patients shall remain confidential. No one shall utilize or publish or disclose to a third party, any part of the data or statistics or proceedings or information collected for the purpose of this assignment or during the course of assignment for the office, without the express written consent of the office. The Part Time Medical Officer is bound to hand over the entire set of records to the office before the expiry of the contract.
7. Conflict of Interest: The Part Time Medical Officer engaged by this office, shall not represent or give opinion or advice to others in any matter which is averse to the interest of this office.
8. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any political influence or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the above position.
9. Termination of Service: The engagement may be terminated at any time by the office without assigning any reasons by giving a notice of 30 days. In case, a Part Time Medical Officer desires to leave the contract/job, he/she has to serve the notice before 30 days which can be curtailed/extended at the discretion of the Appointing Authority.
10. Eligible candidates must bring with them all Original requisite documents viz. Date of Birth, Educational Qualifications, Community and Experiences and PPO (in case retired from service) etc., at the time of Walk-in-Interview. In case of failure to bring the original certificate, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
11. The engagement of Part Time Medical Officer is subject to the terms and conditions issued by CSIR in this regard from time to time. For all intent and purposes, the services of Part Time Medical Officer will be under administrative control of the Director, CSIR-NIO.
12. The decision of the Director, CSIR-NIO in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications and mode of selection will be final and binding on the candidates.
How to Apply
- Candidates fulfilling the above mentioned Essential Qualification, Age etc., may attend the Walk-in Interview scheduled on Thursday, 11th December, 2025, at CSIR-NIO from 02:00 PM onwards along with application form (attached herewith) duly filled with photocopies of necessary certificates along with original certificates for verification and 02 passport size colour photographs.
- Reporting Time for the candidates for Document verification will be 01:30 PM.
