Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • a) Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management OR
  • b) Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical).
  • Qualifications must be from a University/Institute/Board recognized by AICTE/appropriate authority/State/Central Government.
• Experience (Essential):
  • Minimum four years post qualification experience in storekeeping in a Shipyard, Engineering Company, Public Sector Undertaking or Government.
  • Experience is counted after acquiring the minimum prescribed qualification.
• Experience (Desirable):
  • Exposure in materials management/ ERP packages.
• Applicants with higher qualifications like B.Tech, M.Sc, MCA etc. without the prescribed qualifications shall not be considered.

Salary/Stipend

• Grade and Pay scale: W7 (₹ 23500-77000).
• Total Monthly Emoluments (approx): ₹45,623.00 (Includes Basic Pay ₹23,500, DA ₹12,173, HRA ₹7,050 at Mumbai, Conveyance Allowance ₹2,400, Washing Allowance ₹500).
• Other benefits include NPS, PF, Gratuity, Accident Insurance, Medical Assistance Scheme, Earned Leave encashment etc. as per CSL rules.

Age Limit (as on 19-01-2026)

• The upper age limit shall not exceed 35 years as on 19 Jan 2026.
• Applicants should be born on or after 20th Jan 1991.
• Age relaxation is available for PwBD (up to 45 years) and Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines.

Application Fee

• A non-refundable application fee of ₹ 400/- (plus bank charges) must be remitted online using Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking.
• Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempt from payment of application fee.

Selection Process

• The selection method includes a two-part test: Objective Type Test (70 Marks) and Descriptive Type Test (30 Marks), totaling 100 marks.
• The Objective Type Test (75 minutes) covers General Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General English, and Discipline-related topics.
• The Descriptive test (60 minutes) covers Discipline-related topics.
• Descriptive test answer sheets are only evaluated if the candidate passes the Objective test with minimum marks (50% for UR, 40% for PwBD).
• Rank lists are based on aggregate marks from both tests for candidates meeting eligibility and minimum pass marks in both tests.
• CSL reserves the right to scrutinize applications and shortlist candidates based on uploaded certificates.

General Information/Instructions

• The applicant must be an Indian National.
• All posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL). The place of posting will primarily be CSL Mumbai Ship Repair Unit (CMSRU), Mumbai, or other CSL units/project sites in India or abroad.
• The selected candidate is required to give an undertaking to comply with CSL policy not to use smart phones at the work place.
• Appointment is subject to medical fitness certification by CSL Medical Officer.
• Candidates working in Govt/PSUs must upload a declaration form (Annexure-II) and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before final selection.

• The application process has two phases: One Time Registration and Submission of application against the post.

• Retain a printout of the online application with the unique registration number for future reference.
