DCPU Jangaon Selection Process
Selection will be by a written examination followed, on the same day, by an oral test of 25 marks. The selection list will be declared the same day.
Written Examination Pattern
- For posts at Sl.No.1 to 9: The paper carries 200 objective questions for 90 minutes, in English. Part A of 100 questions is common to these posts. Part B of 100 questions is on the subject of the post applied for.
- For posts at Sl.No.10 to 12: The paper carries 100 objective questions for 60 minutes, in English and Telugu, and is common to these posts.
- Marking Scheme: Each question has five options and carries one mark. One fourth of a mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Nothing is deducted for a question left unanswered. Answers are marked on an OMR answer sheet.
- Experience Weightage: For the posts of Social Worker, Data Analyst, Assistant cum Data Entry Operator and Outreach Worker, two marks will be added for each completed year of paid work in child protection or in the field of the post, up to ten marks.
Oral Test and Final Merit
Candidates will be called for verification of original certificates and the oral test in the order of marks at three candidates for each vacancy. In the oral test, each candidate will answer five questions drawn from a question bank, marked out of five by the Selection Committee. The selection list will be drawn in the order of total marks. Where totals are equal, higher marks in the written examination and then older age will determine priority.

DCPU Jangaon Important Instructions
- A candidate may apply for one post only. Applications will not be received at the office of the District Welfare Officer or in the Unit.
- Experience will be counted only if the certificate shows the post held, joining and relieving dates, and is supported by appointment orders and proof of payment. Field work, internships, project work as a student, and voluntary service are excluded.
- NGO experience certificates must carry the organisation registration number and NGO Darpan identity number where available.
- Admission to the written examination is provisional. Candidates must report by 9.00 AM on the exam day with the hall ticket, original identity card, original certificates, and a blue or black ball point pen. No entry after 9.45 AM.
- Mobile phones, calculators, and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
- The engagement is on contract basis with the District Child Protection Society for one year at a time and confers no right to regularisation.
- Verification of antecedents by the Police is mandatory prior to appointment. Selected candidates must provide particulars to the Police team at the venue during the oral test.
- Local candidates of Jangaon District as per Telangana Public Employment Order 2018 will be selected first in order of merit. Non-local candidates will be considered only if no local candidate is found eligible.
