Eligibility Criteria

• Any person with a post graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Child Development is eligible to apply as Support Person.
• Alternatively, a graduate with a minimum of three years of experience in child education, child development, or child protection issues is also eligible.
• As per Rule 5(6) of POCSO Rules 2020, organizations working in child rights or child protection can also act as Support Person entities.
• An official of a children’s home or shelter home having custody of the child may be eligible to act as Support Person.
• A person employed by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and working in the field of child rights or child protection can also function as Support Person.
• The applicant should belong to District Pathankot as specified in the recruitment notice.

Age Limit (as on 19-11-2025)

• Minimum age: 21 years as on the date the advertisement is published.
• Maximum age: 65 years as on the date the advertisement is published.

Salary/Stipend

• Support Persons will receive honorarium of Rs. 600/- per visit for services rendered in connection with POCSO cases.
• No fixed monthly salary will be provided to any Support Person under this recruitment.
• Support Persons will receive allowances strictly as per guidelines issued by the Government of India and the State Government from time to time.
• Empanelment does not confer any status of regular government employment or entitlement to additional benefits beyond the notified honorarium.

Selection Process

• Applications received within the prescribed dates will be scrutinized for eligibility as per age, qualification, and other conditions.
• All shortlisted eligible candidates shall be called for a personal interview.
• The personal interview shall be headed by the Deputy Commissioner, Pathankot.
• The Selection Committee will evaluate candidates based on educational qualification, experience of working with children, and personal interaction.
• The Selection Committee will recommend a panel of names for empanelment as Support Persons.
• The Committee and competent authority reserve full rights to fill or not fill the posts and the final authority regarding recruitment lies with the Deputy Commissioner, Pathankot.
