Male & Female Counsellor (RKSK): Graduate in Psychology/ Social Work/ Sociology/ Anthropology/ Human Development. Desirable: Post Graduate in the same fields.
Phycologist (DEIC): Bachelor Degree in Psychology from a recognised University. Desirable: Minimum 1 complete year or more work experience in infant and paediatric assessment.
Audiologist & Speech Therapist (DEIC): Bachelor in Audiology & Speech language Pathology / B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) from RCI recognized Institute.
Ophthalmic Assistant (DEIC): Diploma in Optometry approved by Govt. of WB/AICTE or Diploma in Paramedical Ophthalmic Assistant course AND At least 3 years of experience in related field.
Psychologist (NTCP): Post-graduate degree in Psychology/ MSW OR Graduate in Psychology/ trained in counseling with 2 years of experience in the field of counseling services.
Social Worker (NRC): Graduate degree (BA/BSc/BCom) from any recognised university AND One yr. diploma in computer application from any recognised university. Good communication in local language is required.
Applicants must be permanent residents of West Bengal and possess adequate knowledge of the local language.
Experience certificate must clearly mention the duration of experience, post held, nature of work, and employer's signature with date.
Salary/Stipend
Male/Female Counsellor (RKSK): Rs. 20,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Phycologist (DEIC): Rs. 28,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Audiologist & Speech Therapist (DEIC): Rs. 25,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Ophthalmic Assistant (DEIC): Rs. 18,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Psychologist (NTCP): Rs. 28,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Social Worker (NRC): Rs. 18,000/- per month (Consolidated)
The posts are contractual under the NHM.
Age Limit (as on 01-04-2025)
Maximum age limit is 40 years as on date 01.04.2025 for most posts.
For Social Worker (NRC), the minimum age is 20 years and maximum age is 40 years as on date 01.04.2025.

Selection Process
Selection is made by the District Level Selection Committee (DLSC), Purulia.
The total marks for selection is 100, distributed across academic performance (Madhyamik to PG), experience, written test, and interview.
The distribution of marks varies slightly by post (e.g., written test is 40 marks for counsellors but 30 marks for Ophthalmic Assistant).
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and interviews.
Experience in the Govt. Health Sector carries specific marks (1 mark per year, max 5 marks).
