Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Graduate degree in relevant professional course (B.E./B.Tech) with first division and a valid NET/GATE score. OR Post Graduate degree in relevant professional course (M.E./M.Tech) with first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
- The Degree and Post Graduate Degree should be in the same Discipline (Branch/Subject).
- Valid NET/GATE score is essential for B.E./B.Tech candidates.
Salary/ Stipend
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- (Plus House Rent Allowance as admissible according to the rules).
- Initial period: Two years (extendable as per rules).
Age Limit (as on date of walk-in-interview)
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years.
- Relaxable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC as per Govt. of India guidelines.
Application Fee
- Rs. 10/- to be paid via crossed Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft in favour of “The Director, NSTL” payable at Visakhapatnam OR online payment to Account: Director NSTL Public Fund Account, SBI NSTL Branch, A/c No. 10364722847, IFSC SBIN0011161.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC are exempted from payment.

Selection Process
- Written Test (Objective type Multiple Choice Questions) may be conducted to shortlist candidates, if necessary.
- Interview / Performance in interview.
- Panel of selected candidates will be prepared for current and anticipated future vacancies (valid for one year from date of interview / publication of results).
General Information / Instructions
- Award of fellowship does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
- Candidates working in PSU/Autonomous Bodies must bring No Objection Certificate.
- Only candidates with prescribed qualifications from recognized University/Institution should attend.
- NSTL reserves the right to select or reject any candidate.
- Candidates must bring Bio-Data, original documents + photocopies: Mark sheets/certificates, Birth proof (10th cert), NET/GATE scorecard (if applicable), Caste certificate (if applicable), Photo ID, 2 passport photos, Fee payment proof (if applicable).
