Eligibility Criteria
A pass in Higher Secondary school or its equivalent with 50% marks in aggregate; and
Diploma in Teacher Education or certificate in Basic Teacher's Training of duration of not less than two years offered by the institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. The minimum academic qualification for admission to the Diploma in Teacher Education or Certificate in Basic Teacher's Training should be Higher Secondary or its equivalent; and
Should have studied the particular regional language (Tamil/Malayalam) as one of the subjects up to secondary level or as one of the subjects in the D.T.Ed. course or studied Diploma in Teacher Education/certificate in Basic Teacher's Training in the relevant medium of regional language.

- Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
- Maximum Age Limit: 32 Years

- OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/BT - 3 years
- SC/ST - 5 years
- Persons with disabilities - 10 years for General Category/EWS 13 years for OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/BT 15 years for SC/ST
- Ex-servicemen (XSM) - Period of Military service plus 3 years
- Disabled Defence service personnel - Upper age limit upto 45 years (50 years for SC/ST)
- Widows / Divorced Women / Women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married - Up to the age of 35 years (up to 40 years for SC & ST)
- In-service applicant - Relaxable for Government Servants up to 37 Years (40 years for OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/BT and 42 for SC officials) in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by Central Government, provided such Govt servants are working for not less than 3 years in the posts which are in the same line or allied cadres and where a relationship can be established that the services rendered by them in the Department will be useful for efficient discharge of duties in the post for which selection is made.

Selection Process
Provisional selection list will be drawn from the overall merit list by following the extant reservation policy. A wait list will also be drawn, the validity of which will be ONE year from the date of declaration of result/publication of select list.
The wait list will be operated in the event of occurrence of vacancy due to rejection of provisionally selected candidates for non-production of required certificates, non-appearance of candidate for certificate verification, non-acceptance of offer or non-joining the services or when a select listed candidate joins the service but resigns or dies within a period of one year from the date of joining.

Applicants fulfilling the eligibility criteria as mentioned above may apply online only through the official website http://recruitment.py.gov.in from 10.00 A.M on 15.09.2025 to 05.45 P.M on 14.10.2025.
The print out of online submitted Application Form should be submitted to "The Director, Directorate of School Education, Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Centenary Educational Complex, 100 Feet Road, Near Indira Gandhi square, Anna Nagar, Puducherry-605005" along with the selfattested Photostat copies of the below mentioned certificates / documents, as applicable, in person or by "Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due" duly superscribing on the cover as "APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER" so as to reach the same on or before 05.00 P.M on 27.10.2025, failing which the online submitted application will be summarily rejected.
