DU Admission 2026: The Delhi University (DU) has moved forward in its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2026 cycle, with seat allocation activity now covering the Sports, Extracurricular Activities (ECA), and Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) admission routes, alongside the regular UG Round 3/upgrade schedule. Candidates allotted seats in the ongoing round are required to accept and complete fee payment by August 13, 2026.

DU Admission 2026 - Important Dates
What This Update Covers: Sports, ECA and ITEP Admissions
Sports and ECA Quota Seats
- DU reserves 5% of a college's total sanctioned seats collectively for the Sports and ECA (Extracurricular Activities) supernumerary quotas.
- Each college can split this 5% between Sports and ECA, generally within a 1% to 4% range for either category, subject to the combined 5% cap.
- For the 2026-27 session, DU has notified approximately 1,370 supernumerary ECA seats spread across 14 recognised ECA categories such as Indian Classical Dance, Theatre, Indian Vocal Music, Indian Folk Dance, Debate, Fine Arts, NCC, NSS, and Photography.
- Together, the ECA and Sports quotas account for around 3,291 seats across DU colleges as an alternative admission route for candidates with a strong extracurricular or sporting record.
- Selection under ECA is based on a Combined ECA Merit (CEM) score: 75% weightage to ECA certificates/trial performance and 25% weightage to the candidate's CUET UG score.
ITEP (Integrated Teacher Education Programme) Admission
- ITEP is a four-year dual-major undergraduate programme combining teacher education with a discipline major, introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
- Admission to DU's ITEP is based purely on NCET (National Common Entrance Test) 2026 scores, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) - it is not based on CUET UG.
- Online registration for ITEP 2026 closed on August 4, 2026, with a correction window open from August 5 to 6, 2026, on the dedicated portal (itep.uod.ac.in).
- The first ITEP allotment list is expected to be released in August 2026; an exact date has not been officially confirmed at the time of writing.

- Mid-entry registration is not permitted for ECA, Sports, CW, Ward Supernumerary quotas, or Performance-based courses - it applies only to regular UG applicants who missed earlier phases.
- Colleges will independently verify uploaded documents and application eligibility even after seat acceptance; discrepancies can lead to rejection.
- If a Sports or ECA supernumerary seat remains vacant, DU has stated it will not automatically be converted to another category.
- Candidates should check the official portal daily, as supernumerary quota (Sports/ECA/ITEP) timelines can be revised independently of the main UG schedule.
