Selection Process
- Pursuing Graduation in Engg. (7th/8th semester)/ Post Graduation engineering degree (IInd year)/ M.Sc in Physics(IInd Year) The student should have good academic track record with ≥ 70% marks or ≥ 7.0 on a scale of 10 (copy to be enclosed) completed with (first class with distinction) above 70% Marks from AICTE/UGC approved universities.
- Principal/Director of institution should provide the request letter to highly deserving meritorious students only.
- Brief Bio-data < 300 Words high lighting achievements.
- Award/Professional membership: - if any, to be mentioned.
- Short listed students will only be notified about the joining procedures and regarding undertaking forms and indemnity bond to be filled by them and by the head of the institution.
- Eligible students will be selected based on CGPA of all previous year semester/ Percentage marks of all previous semester/year and offline examination / telephonic interview / in person interaction as required, subjected to satisfactory verification of documents.
General Information/Instructions
- DRDO Young Scientist Laboratory – Quantum Technologies (DYSL-QT) is constituted to do extensive research and development in the field of Quantum Technologies viz. Quantum Computing, Quantum Communication, Quantum Sensing etc. The lab has association of eminent institutes like, IIT, Central & State Universities and other leading academic institutions.
- The duration of internship/project work training will be for a period of 06 months. Completion Certificate will be issued to students after completed 06 months from date of joining the internship program.
- No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible. The selected candidate need to arrange accommodation on their own arrangement.
- Stipend of internship and retention of internship training for a period of six months is only applicable if a student has good academic performance and complete minimum of 15 days per month of physical attendance at DYSL-QT. Payment will be made in two installments. First installment will be paid after 03 months of Internship.
- Upon successful completion of the Internship training which includes clearing of evaluation of project work and submission of project report, and completion of other formalities, certificate of completion will be award DYSL-QT to the student.
- DYSL-QT / DRDO shall have no obligation to offer employment to such interns / project students nor can an intern claim a right for employment on the grounds of completion of this Internship.
- The stipend will be credited to the student’s bank account after the completion of three months and six months respectively (₹15,000 each).
- No fees are applicable for submission of this application form or at any stage of the selection process.
- If the student is unable to complete the internship and leaves in between the program, then certificate of completion will not be issued to such students. No payment will be made if a student does not complete a tenure of 03 months. In view of meeting the eligibility, to receive the first installment, the student need to successfully complete first three months of student paid internship.
- Incomplete/erroneous application received or received after the due date will be rejected. No further communication in this regard will be entertained.
- Selection will be based entirely on merit basis. No communication will be undertaken for rejected candidates.
- The management reserves the right to change the vacancy positions or selection criteria at any point during selection process of the aforesaid internship scheme without assigning any reason whatsoever.
- Selected students will have to submit the following documents at the time of joining; a. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from college authorities (in original) on college letterhead mentioning that the student will be relieved for internship training at DYSL-QT and that the student will be present for a minimum 15 working days in a month for training. b. Police verification from local police station. Acknowledgement received from Police station to be submitted at the time of joining (if selected). c. Undertaking for adherence to Indian official secrets Act, 1923. d. Undertaking that interns will follow IT rules and regulations applicable for Ministry of Defence and its amendments thereof. e. Selected students need to provide the bank details for transfer of internship amount. f. Medical fitness certificate from authorized medical practitioners holding at least an MBBS degree. g. At the time of joining, student is required to bring the Aadhar card (in Original) along with college ID card for verification. They should also submit 03 nos. passport size photographs at the time of joining. h. All previous semesters marks sheet in original for verification should be brought. i. Original documents will be returned immediately after verification. j. Any other documents if required will be communicated to the student at the time of selection/ joining. k. Student should produce request letter from college in the form attached. l. Indemnity form will be provided by the college as and when required by DYSL-QT.
