A total of 91 positions have been announced across 9 position codes (A to I) covering Associate Engineer Grade II, Associate Engineer Grade III, Associate Engineer Grade IV in Civil, Mechanical, and Welding/NDT disciplines, and Associate Officer Grade II in Warehouse (Material Management).

EIL Associate Engineer 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil all the prescribed eligibility conditions as on 31.03.2026 before applying for EIL Walk-In Interview 2026. The eligibility criteria cover educational qualification, minimum post-qualification relevant experience, and upper age limit. 

EIL Associate Engineer 2026 Age Limit

The upper age limit for EIL Walk-In Interview 2026 is calculated as on 31.03.2026. The upper age limit varies by grade - 37 years for Associate Engineer/Officer Grade II positions (Codes A, B, C), 41 years for Associate Engineer Grade III positions (Codes D, E, F), and 45 years for Associate Engineer Grade IV positions (Codes G, H, I). Age relaxation is applicable to reserved category and other eligible candidates as per Government of India rules. 

EIL Associate Engineer 2026 Application Fee

There is no application fee mentioned in the official notification for EIL Walk-In Interview 2026. Candidates are required to register online on the EIL website at http://www.engineersindia.com through the Careers link. The online registration process requires uploading a scanned passport-size colour photograph (JPG/JPEG format, not more than 75 KB) and a scanned signature (JPG/JPEG format, not more than 25 KB).

Candidates should not send a printout of the registered application form to EIL. Instead, they must take 6 printouts of the application form, affix a colour photograph on each, and bring them while reporting for the Walk-In Interview. EIL Associate Engineer 2026 Salary / Remuneration

Selected candidates engaged on Fixed Term Basis at Engineers India Limited will be entitled to a Consolidated Monthly Remuneration (inclusive of HRA and PF) varying by designation and city category. The remuneration is structured across three city categories - X Category Cities, Y Category Cities, and Z Category Cities.

In addition to the consolidated monthly remuneration, selected candidates will also be entitled to several other benefits including reimbursement of medical insurance premium for self up to ₹2,00,000/- per annum, reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses for working beyond standard working hours, coverage under the GPAI Scheme of the Company, payment of Travelling Allowances for official duties outside their place of posting, and paid leave of 2 days for each completed month as per Company Policy.

During foreign postings, candidates will be provided Living Allowance, R&R, and other applicable allowances as per Company rules. All statutory benefits are subject to change in relevant Laws/Rules as applicable.

EIL Associate Engineer 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for EIL Walk-In Interview 2026 consists of document screening followed by a Personal Interview. On the day of the Walk-In Interview, applications and certificates of candidates will be screened to ascertain their eligibility for the post applied. Only candidates meeting the eligibility requirements in all respects will be considered for further selection.

As screening and selection will be based on the details provided in the online application form, it is essential that candidates furnish only accurate, full, and correct information.
