Eligibility Criteria

  • i. MBBS from an institution recognized by National Medical Council/Medical Council of India /Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • ii. Post-Graduation degree (MD/DNB, or equivalent) in relevant discipline from an institution recognised by National Medical Council/Medical Council of India/National Board of Examinations.
  • iii. A Super-Speciality Degree (DM/DNB or equivalent, as applicable) in concerned Super-speciality from an institution recognised by MCI/NMC/NBEiMS.
  • iv. Should be registered with National Medical Council /Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • i. A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in subsection (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • ii. Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
  • iii. Should be registered with National Medical Council / Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • i. MBBS from an institution recognized by National Medical Council/Medical Council of India / Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • ii. Post-Graduation Diploma / Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in relevant discipline from an institution recognised by National Medical Council/Medical Council of India/National Board of Examinations.
  • iii. Should be registered with National Medical Council / Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • i. MBBS from an institution recognized by National Medical Council/Medical Council of India/ Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • ii. Post-Graduation Diploma or Degree (MD/MS/DNB, or equivalent) in Critical Care Medicine (In case no candidate appeared in the above speciality, candidate having MD in Anaesthesia / Internal Medicine / Respiratory Medicine or equivalent, or Diploma in relevant discipline having at least 1 year Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine may be considered) from an institution recognised by National Medical Council/Medical Council of India/National Board of Examinations.
  • iii. Should be registered with National Medical Council / Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • i. MBBS from an institution recognized by National Medical Council/MCI/ Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • ii. Post-Graduation Diploma / Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in relevant discipline from an institution recognised by National Medical Council /Medical Council of India, National Board of Examinations.
  • iii. Should be registered with National Medical Council / Maharashtra Medical Council.
  • iv. However, if Post Graduate or Diploma doctors are not available, MBBS doctors without PG Degree with two years of experience out of which 1 year of experience in the concerned specialty from government hospital / private hospital, (Not a Private Clinic) may be appointed for 01 year, as Senior Resident - 1 Year on contract basis.
  • i. BDS from an institution recognized by Dental Council.
  • ii. Post-Graduation Degree in Endodontist or Orthodontist or equivalent) from an institution recognized by Dental Council.
  • iii. Should be registered with Dental Council.
  • 2 (two) years' experience after acquiring Super-speciality Degree.

Salary / Stipend

  • ESIC has adopted Consolidated Remuneration structure for Contractual Doctor as per ESIC Headquarters Memorandum No. Z-17/11/1/2007/Med.IV (Pt.File), dated 13.04.2022 and subsequent instructions /modifications on the matter from time to time. Full Time: Rs. 2,00,000/- (Consolidated remuneration) Part Time: Rs. 1,00,000/- per month for 16 hours per week (4 hours per day for 4 days in a week). Additional Rs. 20,000/- Charges for Emergency visit. Additional Rs. 1,200/- for every additional hour beyond 16 hrs/week. (The additional hour of work shall be subject to approval by MS/Dean).
  • Level -10 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC (Rs. 56,100/- plus allowances as admissible per month)
  • Full Time: Full time Specialist will be paid in the Level-11 of Rs.67,700/- plus other allowances (DA,HRA,NPA,TA,etc.) as envisaged in ESIC Headquarters Memorandum No. Z-17/11/1/2007/Med.IV(Pt.File), dated 13.04.2022; Z-11012/51/2022-MED-VI, dated 08.12.2022 and subsequent instructions/modifications on the matter from time to time. Part Time: Rs. 60,000/- per month for 16 hours per week (4 hours per day for 4 days in a week). Additional Rs. 15,000/- Charges for Emergency visit. Additional Rs. 800/- for every additional hour beyond 16 hrs/week. (The additional hour of work shall be subject to approval by MS/Dean).
  • The Senior Residents will be paid in the Pay Band 3, Level-11 of Rs. 67,700.00 plus other allowances (DA, HRA, NPA, TA, etc.) as applicable under Govt. Of India.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based on performance in the interview before the Selection Board.

General Information / Instructions

1. Only candidates who meet all eligibility criteria are invited to appear for the walk-in interview on the dates specified above.
2. Applicants are advised to carefully ensure they meet the eligibility requirements before applying. They must satisfy all criteria as of the date of the interview, including age criteria as of the date of advertisement.
3. Only candidates whose documents are verified and found eligible will be permitted to attend the walk-in interview.
4. Any changes to the interview schedule or related information will be notified only on the official ESIC website: https://bibyewadihospital.esic.gov.in. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website for updates.
5. ESIC Hospital reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel the number of posts advertised or the interview itself, at its discretion and without assigning any reason.
In case an insufficient number of candidates or no candidate appears for the interview in any particular speciality/post on the scheduled date, the walk-in interviews will continue to be held on subsequent Fridays, i.e., 23rd January 2026, 30th January 2026 and 06 February 2026, subject to the availability of vacancies. No separate newspaper advertisement will be issued for these subsequent interviews. Please note that the interviews on 23rd January 2026, 30th January 2026 and 06 February 2026, will be held only if vacancies remain unfilled due to non-attendance, non-selection, or non-joining of suitable candidates.
1. Nature of Appointment: Recruitment is purely on a contractual basis. Selected candidates will have no claim for regularization of service in the hospital.
2. Selection Procedure:
a) Applications submitted on the day of the walk-in interview will be scrutinized by the authorized officer(s)/scrutiny committee. Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear before the selection committee. If the number of applicants is large, the hospital may introduce shortlisting criteria, including a screening test, at its discretion.
b) Selection will be based on performance in the interview before the Selection Board.
c) The decision of the Recruiting Authority of the ESIC Hospital shall be final and binding. No further correspondence will be entertained.
d) Results will be published at https://bibvewadihospital.esic.gov.in / www.esic.gov.in/recruitments
e) Selected candidates must join within 7 days from the date of the Offer of Appointment.
3. Application Fee and Mode of Payment
a) Payment by any other mode will not be accepted.
b) Payment of interview fee is mandatory to appear for the walk-in interview.
c) Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
4. Candidates can apply for only one post at a time, except for Emergency Medicine and ICU specialities. Separate application forms must be submitted.
5. Mere submission of an application does not entitle a candidate to appear for the interview unless present at the scheduled date and time.
6. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure-A). Incomplete or incorrectly formatted applications will be rejected.
7. Candidates must ascertain their eligibility and report at the scheduled time. Latecomers will not be allowed.
8. ESIC reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage, and its decision shall be binding.
9. Permission to attend the interview is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility and documents.
10. Selected contractual doctors must sign a Contract Agreement on a Rs. 500/- stamp paper, purchased by the candidate.
11. All selected candidates must have a professional indemnity policy for the contract duration:
* Minimum sum assured: Rs. 10 Lakhs (General Medicine, Radiology, Anaesthesia, etc.)
* Rs. 20 Lakhs (Ophthalmology, ENT, Surgery, OBGY, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, etc.)
12. Private practice is not permitted for Medical Officers, Senior Residents, and Full-Time Specialists/Super Specialists on contract.
13. Candidates must appear for the interview with original documents and self-attested copies supporting their Date of Birth, Education, Experience, Caste, Non-Creamy Layer (OBC), etc., along with duly filled Annexure-A, one hour before interview time.
14. Offer of appointment will be issued based on hospital requirements at ESIC's discretion.
15. Candidates must join duty within 7 days from the date of the offer.
16. Selection is subject to medical fitness.
17. No accommodation will be provided by ESIC.
18. Security Deposit (for Medical Officers, SRs, and Full-Time Specialists/Super Specialists): Rs. 15,000/- Demand Draft in favour of 'ESI Fund A/c No. 1', payable at Pune, to be submitted at joining. Refunded (without interest) after successful completion, subject to performance. Forfeited in case of resignation without notice or misconduct.
19. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining.
20. PWD candidates will be adjusted against vacancies in their respective categories (SC/ST/OBC/UR).
21. The decision of the selection board is final. No correspondence will be entertained.
22. Candidates who have already completed 3 years as Senior Residents under Central Residency Scheme are not eligible for Senior Resident posts on contract under the 3-Year Scheme.
23. Reservation and age relaxation will be as per Central Government Rules.
24. Candidates claiming reservation/age relaxation under SC/ST/OBC/PWD must ensure eligibility and provide certificates in the prescribed format. OBC candidates must provide a non-creamy layer certificate per Govt. of India DOPT O.M. No. 36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 15.11.1993.
25. OBC candidates must submit a certificate as per DOPT O.M. No. 36036/2/2013-Estt (Res) dated 30.05.2014. Failure to do so will result in consideration under the General category.
26. Posts reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS may be filled from other categories if suitable candidates are not available, for a 39-day contract (extendable for another 39 days or until regular appointment, whichever is earlier).
27. Service rendered by Senior Residents in ESIC will be considered as bonded service in Maharashtra per State Govt. decision No. MED/1013/Admin No.101/13/Edu-2 dated 31.01.2014.
28. Contractual doctors are eligible for leaves as per ESIC guidelines.
29. No claim for benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowances, Seniority, Promotion, etc., will be admissible.
30. Candidates must be registered with the NMC/MCI/ Maharashtra Medical Council, as applicable, before joining.
31. Candidates in government service must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview. Already employed candidates must produce a Relieving Order/NOC from their previous employer at the time of joining.
32. Selected candidates must submit a written acceptance/consent before the medical examination.
33. Contractual doctors found guilty of gross misconduct or negligence may be terminated without notice.
34. Absence for 15 days without permission will be treated as voluntary abandonment and lead to automatic termination.
35. Attendance must be marked manually and via Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).
36. Duties include emergency, ward, clinical, outreach programs, health promotion & prevention programs and floor /shift duties as assigned.
37. Doctors may be assigned to other departments based on hospital needs.
38. If a selected candidate fails to join on time or resigns within 3 months, a waitlisted candidate may be offered the post. The waiting list is valid for 6 months.
39. Wrong declarations or submission of false information will lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.
40. Documents Required for Verification (at the time of Walk-in Interview) Candidates must bring originals and one set of self-attested photocopies of the following:
a) Identity Proof (PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card)
b) Address Proof (Ration Card, Passport, Driving License, Aadhaar Card)
c) Certificate showing Date of Birth (10th Certificate)
d) Two recent passport-sized photographs
e) Photocopies of Aadhaar/PAN Card and Bank Passbook (for selected candidates at joining)
f) Class 10th & 12th mark sheets/certificates
g) Proof of Educational Qualification: MBBS, MD/MS/DNB/MCH/DM as per NMC guidelines
h) Internship Completion Certificate
i) NMC/Maharashtra Medical Council Registration and Renewal
j) Maharashtra Medical Council Registration (within 30 days of joining if not already registered)
k) Maharashtra Medical Council Additional Medical Qualification Registration Certificate.
l) Experience Certificates
m) Reservation Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH) as per Govt. of India format. OBC must be non-creamy layer from the central list.
