Reporting time on each interview date is 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Candidates reporting after the scheduled time will not be allowed to attend the interview process.

Note: Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease based on actual requirement for patient care and NMC requirements. In case of non-availability of Super Specialty Senior Residents (MCh/DM/DrNB) for Super Specialty departments, Senior Residents from the concerned parent Board specialties will be considered.

ESIC Faculty and Senior Resident Age Limit

ESIC Faculty and Senior Resident Qualification

The notification states that academic qualifications for Faculty and Senior Resident posts are as per the Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations 2025 (NMC Gazette Notification dated 30.06.2025). Specific subject-wise qualification lists (for example, MD/MS/DNB requirements for each individual specialty) are not enumerated in this notification, so candidates should refer to the NMC 2025 regulations and the official advertisement for exact qualification requirements before applying.

Two specific transition-period qualification pathways are mentioned in the notification:

As per NMC TEQ dated 14.02.2022, a DNB (Broad or Super Specialty) is equivalent to the corresponding MD/MS or DM/M.Ch qualification when granted at an institution with an attached hospital of 500+ beds; otherwise, one additional year of senior residency in a medical college is required for teaching-post equivalence.

Candidates with experience as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor may also apply for the post of Professor/Associate Professor. Such candidates will be considered only if no eligible candidate at the required experience level applies; if selected, they will be appointed at the corresponding lower pay scale on the recommendation of the Selection Board.

ESIC Faculty and Senior Resident Application Fee 2026

The application fee is collected through an online payment system (SB Collect) at the venue at the time of registration/document verification. Fee once paid is not refundable.

ESIC Faculty and Senior Resident Salary 2026

ESIC has adopted a Consolidated Remuneration structure for Contractual Faculty (Super Specialist, Specialist) and Residents/Tutors, as per applicable ESIC Headquarters office memoranda.

Consolidated remuneration for cadres other than regular Senior Resident includes NPA@20%, DA@60%, and HRA@27%; a transport allowance is also payable. These amounts are subject to revision with changes in Dearness Allowance rates as per Central Government policy. No private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.

Term of Contract and Security Deposit

• Faculty: initial contract of 1 year, extendable yearly up to a maximum of 3 years or 70 years of age (whichever is earlier), subject to satisfactory performance and requirement.
• Senior Resident: initial engagement of 1 year, extendable yearly up to 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance and requirement.
• Senior Resident (1 Yr), against sanctioned strength of Medical Officer: engagement is for 1 year only.
• Either side may terminate the contract with one month's prior notice, or one month's gross salary in lieu.
• Selected candidates (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor/Senior Resident) must deposit Rs. 1,00,000/- as a security deposit at the time of joining, which is forfeited under specific early-exit conditions listed in the notification.

ESIC Faculty and Senior Resident Selection Process 2026

Selection is based on the candidate's performance in a personal interview before the Selection Board. The selection procedure may be altered at the authority's discretion if a large number of candidates appear. Results are displayed on the ESIC website. Selected candidates must join immediately upon receipt of the offer of appointment; failure to join by the stipulated last date leads to cancellation of appointment, and the next eligible candidate is automatically deemed selected.

How to Apply for ESIC Faculty and Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 (Walk-in Interview)

There is no separate online application submission for this recruitment. The process is as follows:

1. Download the application form from the official ESIC recruitment page: esic.gov.in/recruitments.
2. Fill the form completely in the prescribed format only; incomplete applications or applications in any other format will be summarily rejected.
3. Report at the Academic Block, ESIC Medical College, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad, between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM on the specialty's scheduled interview date.
4. Submit the duly filled application at the time of certificate verification on the day of the Walk-in Interview, along with two self-attested passport-size photographs, self-attested copies of certificates/testimonials (age, qualification, experience, research papers/publications), and the original certificates for verification.
5. Pay the applicable application fee (if any) via the SB Collect online payment system at the venue.
6. Appear for the interview before the Selection Board.
