Eligibility Criteria for GMRC CGM/GM (O&M) 2025
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Applied Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Power Electronics, or Instrumentation from a Government recognized University/Institute, or be a graduate from a Government recognized University/Institute with experience in train operations.
2. Age Limit
- Maximum Age (Contract/Deputation): 58 years as on date of advertisement (01/12/2025).
- Maximum Age (Post-Superannuation basis): 62 years.
- Age calculation date: 1st December 2025; internal GMRC employees have separate relaxation conditions.
3. Experience
- GM Level: 20 years overall post-qualification experience in private organisation OR 17 years post-qualification executive level experience in Govt./Metro Rail/PSU.
- CGM Level: 23 years overall post-qualification experience in private organisation OR 20 years executive level experience in Govt./Metro Rail/PSU, with minimum 4 years in SAG/GM grade (7th CPC Level 14 or IDA 120000–280000 or equivalent).
- Mandatory experience in Operations & Maintenance of Railway/Metro systems.
Salary
IDA pay scale Rs. 120000–280000; approx. CTC about ₹ 3.5 lakh per month for contract basis; deputation and post-superannuation as per rules/consolidated pay.
Selection Process for GMRC CGM/GM (O&M) 2025
- Personal Interview followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination as per category prescribed for the post.
- Preference to candidates with experience in same grade or immediate lower grade with at least 2 years in that grade.
- If suitable candidates are not available, candidates from lower pay scale meeting qualification, total experience and age criteria may be considered.
