Selection Process
Selection will be made through three stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Screening Test – Objective Type):
- Paper-1: General Studies – 200 marks (3 hours)
- Paper-2: Accountancy and Auditing – 200 marks (3 hours)
- Total: 400 marks
- Minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Commission.
- Marks of Preliminary Exam will not be counted for final selection.
- In case of multiple shifts, normalization of scores will be applied.
- Candidates approximately 15 times the number of vacancies will be called for the Main Examination.
- Main Written Examination (Conventional Type):
- Paper-1: Gujarati Language – 150 marks (3 hours)
- Paper-2: English Language – 150 marks (3 hours)
- Paper-3: General Studies – 200 marks (3 hours)
- Paper-4: Accountancy and Auditing-I – 200 marks (3 hours)
- Paper-5: Accountancy and Auditing-II – 200 marks (3 hours)
- Total: 900 marks
- Viva Voce (Interview): 100 marks
Final Selection:
- Merit will be prepared on the basis of Main Written Examination (900 marks) + Viva Voce (100 marks) = 1000 marks.
- Preliminary Exam is only a screening test.
- Waiting list / panel will be prepared as per rules.
- Appointment is on probation for 2 years.
- Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in Gujarat.
How to Apply
Application Mode: Online only through GPSC-OJAS portal. No other mode will be accepted.
Steps to Apply:
- Visit https://gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
- Click on “Online Application” → “Apply”.
- If already registered, login with One Time Registration (OTR) number; otherwise complete One Time Registration.
- Fill all mandatory fields: Personal Details, Communication Details, Other Details, Language Details.
- Upload recent passport-size Photograph and Signature in JPG format (as per specifications).
- Review the application form.
- Pay the required fee online (if applicable).
- Submit the application and take a printout / note the Application Number & Confirmation Number for future reference.
- A candidate can submit only one application for this post.
General Instructions
- Cut-off date for determining eligibility (age, qualification, etc.) is the last date of online application i.e. 21-04-2026.
- Only Gujarat domicile candidates are eligible for reservation benefits.
- Category once filled cannot be changed later.
- Candidates must possess the basic knowledge of computer application and adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
- All future communications will be sent through registered email / SMS and uploaded on the official website.
- Mere submission of application or appearing in the examination does not guarantee eligibility. Final eligibility is checked at document verification stage.
- Canvassing in any form or use of unfair means will lead to disqualification and possible criminal action.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in any stage of the examination.
- The Commission reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason.
- Dispute, if any, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Gujarat Courts only.
