Educational Qualification
- Core Education: Secondary or Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination from a recognized Board, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
- Professional Course: Female Health Workers Basic Training Course recognized by the Government; OR Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) Course recognized by the Government with valid registration under the Gujarat Nursing Council.
- Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed under the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
- Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Gender Restriction
- These posts are reserved exclusively for Female candidates. Male candidates are not eligible to apply.

GSSSB Selection Methodology
- Written Competitive Exam (MCQ): A single-stage MCQ-based Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR exam will be conducted in two parts - Part-A (General) and Part-B (Technical Subject).
- Part-A (90 Marks): Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30), Quantitative Aptitude (30), Constitution of India, Current Affairs, and Gujarati/English Comprehension (30).
- Part-B (120 Marks): Subject-specific questions covering Community Health Nursing, Health Promotion, Primary Health Care Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Center Management (20 marks each).
- Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% separately in both Part-A and Part-B for all categories.
- Certificate Verification: Approx. 2x the number of vacancies from the provisional merit list will be called for document verification, followed by final selection list preparation.
- Bonus Marks: 5% extra marks for candidates who have represented in National/Inter-University/All India School level sports competitions in recognized sports. Similarly, 5% extra marks for eligible Widow candidates.
