Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification
- Full-time B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering / Metallurgy / Material Science / Metallurgy & Materials Technology
- Full-time Master’s Degree (M.E./M.Tech) in the above disciplines
- Full-time / Part-time Ph.D in Metallurgical Engineering / Metallurgy / Material Science / Metallurgy & Materials Technology
Post-Ph.D Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience after completing Ph.D
- Experience during part-time Ph.D will not be counted
- Experience gained during M.E./M.Tech will be deducted from total experience
Relevant Experience Areas (Any one of the below)
- Industries with ISO 17025 / NADCAP / AS9100 / ISO9001 accredited Metallurgical Labs or R&D Centres
- NIRF-ranked Engineering / Academic Institutions
- Government / Private Research Establishments
Key Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years in Metallurgical Testing, Material Characterization & Failure Investigation of aeronautical components
- Expertise in Optical Microscopy, Image Analysis, Micro-hardness, Fractography using SEM
- Mechanical Testing: Tensile (RT & High Temp), Fatigue, Creep, Stress Rupture, Fracture Toughness
- Hands-on experience in microstructure analysis, inclusion rating, grain size, case depth, heat treatment evaluation
- R&D aptitude in advanced aerospace materials & processes
- Technical report writing & presentation skills
- Knowledge of NABL, NADCAP, AS9100 desirable
Salary/Stipend
- Pay Scale: ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 (Grade-IV)
- Plus DA, HRA, Perks @35% of Basic, PF, Gratuity, Medical, etc. as per rules
- CTC ≈ ₹20–22 Lakhs per annum
