Hassan District Court Peon Eligibility 2026
- Must have passed the SSLC (10th Standard) examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, or an equivalent examination, within the prescribed closing date of application (or the current examination).
- Must be able to read and write the Kannada language.
Hassan District Court Peon Age Limit
Minimum age: 18 years, as on the prescribed closing date of application. Maximum age limit shown below already includes the one-time 5-year relaxation applicable to this notification.

Additional Age Relaxations
- Candidates already serving in a post reserved for their category in Karnataka Government service, local authority, or a state/central-enactment corporation or institution: relaxation equal to years of such service, or 10 years, whichever is less.
- Ex-servicemen: relaxation equal to years of military service (capped as per rules), plus an additional allowance where service exceeded 3 years.
- Physically disabled candidates, widows, and persons freed from bonded labour: 10 years' relaxation on producing a certificate from the competent authority.
- Full-time National Cadet Corps instructors: relaxation equal to years served as such an instructor.
- Village-level workers/surveyors appointed under a state-sponsored rural development scheme: relaxation as applicable per the scheme rules.

- Fee is payable online via the State Bank Collect link on the court website, through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.
- Demand Drafts, Postal Orders, and Money Orders are not accepted.
- Fee is not refundable under any circumstances once paid.
- Applications without fee payment will be rejected.
Hassan District Court Peon Selection Procedure
Recruitment follows the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules and the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Clerk and other posts) (Recruitment) Rules 1982, as amended in 2007 and 2021. There is no written examination.
- Candidates are called for an interview based on the marks obtained in their SSLC examination, in the ratio of 1:10 against the number of vacancies notified for each post/category (i.e., 10 candidates called per vacancy, ranked by SSLC marks).
- The interview assesses the candidate's efficiency and general knowledge, and carries 10 marks.
- Final selection is based on a combination of SSLC marks and interview performance, per the applicable recruitment rules.
Probation Period
Selected candidates undergo a probation period of 2 years as per the Karnataka Civil Services (Probation Rules) 1977. During this period, candidates must pass the departmental examinations prescribed for the post, as well as a Kannada language examination.

- Applications can be submitted online only, from 19 August 2026 to 17 September 2026, 11:59 PM.
- Read all instructions on the application form carefully before filling; applications with incorrect or incomplete information will be rejected.
- Enter your active mobile number and e-mail ID carefully – the court is not responsible for non-delivery of SMS/e-mail due to incorrect details.
- Upload a scanned colour photograph: 5 cm height x 3.6 cm width, maximum 50 KB, JPG format, with a white background – scan the physical photo directly (do not edit/paste the photo digitally).
- Upload a scanned signature in black ballpoint pen on white paper: 2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width, maximum 25 KB, JPG format.
- Fill in all details completely, then pay the prescribed fee (where applicable) online.
- Download and retain a copy of the submitted application and the fee receipt; keep them safely until the recruitment process concludes, and bring them to the eligibility test/interview.

- Category 2A/2B/3A/3B candidates: caste and income certificate in Form 'F', from the concerned Tahsildar
- Rural reservation: certificate in Form-2 from the concerned Education Officer, per Government Order No. SiAsu/53/SeNeNi/2007 dated 04-01-2008 (General-category rural candidates must also submit a Creamy Layer certificate in Form-1 alongside Form-2)
- Kannada Medium reservation: certificate as per Government Order No. SiAsu 71 SeNeNi 2001 dated 24-10-2002, confirming study in Kannada medium from Class 1 to Class 10
- Physically Handicapped reservation: medical certificate from a district-level medical board, per the format in Government Order No. SiAsu/115/SeNeNi/2005 dated 19-11-2005
- Project-Displaced reservation: certificate from the concerned Tahsildar, per Government Order No. SiAsu/44/SeNeNi/2001 dated 27-07-2001
- Ex-Servicemen: discharge/release certificate from military service
- Widows, bonded-labour-freed persons, and other age-relaxation claimants: certificate from the competent authority
- "Other" (third gender) category: certificate from the competent authority, per Section 6 of The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019
- Educational certificates (SSLC or equivalent), all mark sheets/semester certificates, and degree/certificate confirming the position claimed
Important Conditions
- Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- Where reservation categories have no eligible/available candidates, those posts will be filled from other reservation-category candidates; if SC/ST posts remain unfilled even then, they will be filled from General category candidates as per applicable rules.
- Candidates called for the eligibility test/interview must appear at their own expense; no travel allowance is payable.
- Selected candidates will be governed by the New Pension Scheme (NPS) or the pension scheme notified by the Government, as applicable.
- The notified vacancies are subject to change.
- Already-employed government servants selected for this post must submit a "No-Objection Certificate" from their current employer within 30 days of publication of the select list.
- The Court does not correspond with candidates on any matter; address changes must be communicated in writing.
- A candidate found to be an impersonator, to have submitted forged/fabricated or falsified documents, to have suppressed material facts, or to have adopted any unfair means in the recruitment process or in connection with the appointment, is liable to have their candidature/appointment cancelled at any stage — from the interview stage or after appointment — besides being subject to criminal and legal proceedings, without prior notice.
