Supervisory Staff (Graduate Project Engineer – Chemical)

A) Essential Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Chemical from a recognized institution.
  • Ex-Graduate Apprentice who has undergone minimum one year training as per Apprenticeship Act 1961 in Chemical trade of Ordnance Factories under MIL or Ordnance Factories manufacturing Military Ammunitions and Explosives. OR Persons with one year training/experience in Factories manufacturing Military Ammunitions and Explosives will be engaged on Tenure basis as Graduate Project Engineer.

B) Criteria for Engagement: Persons with minimum one year experience or training in factories manufacturing ammunition, explosives and hazardous chemicals and handling of the same. Ex-Graduate Apprentice of Chemical trade who have completed one year Trade Apprenticeship in Ordnance Factories under MIL or factories manufacturing ammunition and explosives possess skill.

Skilled Worker (AOCP – Attendant Operator Chemical Plant)

A) Essential Qualification:

  • Matriculation + NAC/NTC issued by NCTVT (now NCVT) having completed the course from government/private organization having affiliation from government, and those from Government ITI.
  • Trade: AOCP (Attendant Operator Chemical Plant)
  • Feeder Trades: IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.

B) Desirable: Possessing Ordnance Factories training or experience in manufacturing and handling military explosives and ammunitions.

HEF Khadki Selection Process 2026

For Supervisory Staff (Graduate Project Engineer):

  • Selection based on Marks scored in B.E./B.Tech and Personal Interaction/Interview only, in order of Merit.
  • Weightage: B.E./B.Tech marks – 85%; Personal Interaction/Interview – 15%.
  • Cut-off percentage for calling candidates for interview may be decided by HEF based on marks in qualifying examination to ensure sufficient competition.
  • Merit list prepared on combined marks of B.E./B.Tech and Personal Interaction/Interview.
  • Candidates scoring more than cut-off marks will be called for Document Verification in order of merit; number limited to posts notified (Discipline/Category wise).
  • Candidates qualifying Document Verification will be issued Offers of Engagement.

For Skilled Worker (AOCP – CPW):

  • Selection based on Marks scored in NCVT and Trade Test/Practical Test only, in order of Merit.
  • Weightage: NCVT Exam – 80%; Trade Test/Practical Test – 20%.
  • Cut-off for Trade Test/Practical Test decided by HEF based on total marks in NCVT.
  • Merit list prepared on combined marks in NCVT Exam and Trade Test/Practical Test.
  • Candidates with AOCP Trade (NCVT) will be given preference; candidates from feeder trades considered only if requisite number of AOCP candidates not available.
  • AOCP Trade Apprentices from Government/Private organisations will be given compulsory "ONE MONTH" extensive in-house training on Safe Handling of Explosives, ammunition, safety norms, DOs & DON'Ts, etc. After successful completion, two months On-Job training will be imparted, after which they will be considered for specific job deployment.
  • On successful completion of training, a Certificate will be issued acceptable in all MIL Group of Factories.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Remuneration at 1/30th of Basic Pay + Dearness Allowance for 8 hours work per day.
  • IDA as prevalent will be applicable.
  • House Rent Allowance as per classification of cities (when Company Quarter is not available). Priority for Company Quarters where available.
  • 30 days leave per year (2.5 days per calendar month of service); can be accumulated up to 30 days and encashed after completion of one year.
  • Eligible for EPF and Employees Compensation Act as per government guidelines.
  • Bonus (as applicable) as per Bonus Act 1965.
  • Night Duty Allowance at par with regular employees (for Night Shift due to production exigency).
  • Risk Allowance at par with regular employees as per extant rules.
  • Safety and protective gear, equipment, kits as per Company norms.
  • Maternity Benefits for female personnel as per Maternity Benefit Act, 1961.
  • Company Quarters eligibility (wherever available); license fee deducted at rates applicable to regular employees.

NOT entitled for: Promotions, OT allowance, Loans/Advances/Interest Subsidies, Medical Facilities, Contingency Advance, School Fee Reimbursement, LTC/LTA Facilities, Grant of Study Leave, Sponsorship for Higher Studies, or any other benefits admissible to regular employees.

Terms & Conditions of Tenure Engagement

  • Engagement on contract basis initially for One Year; extendable for another Three Years (total maximum Four Years) with yearly renewal based on factory requirement and individual performance.
  • Tenure ends automatically on completion of four years from date of joining, without any further notice.
  • Employment can be terminated at any time during tenure by giving one month's notice by either side or payment of Basic Pay + IDA Component in lieu of Notice.
  • No commitment to the candidate either for absorption as permanent employee or for extension of term.
  • Performance assessed on a six-monthly basis; poor performance will result in written notice to improve; repeated poor rating may lead to termination.
  • Full-time basis; absence other than authorized leave/Company Holidays will result in proportionate reduction in Consolidated Emoluments.
  • For quitting the job, candidate must give one month prior notice in advance, failing which one month salary will be deducted.
  • Tenure Based Personnel will abide by various Company/Factory Rules & Regulations governing the assigned tasks and conduct.
  • Personnel covered under Income Tax, Service Tax, Professional Tax as per applicable rules; all such taxes payable by candidates.
