Educational Qualification (as on closing date):
- Degree of Bachelor of Laws (Professional) from a recognized University.
- Hindi / Sanskrit upto Matric or Higher Standard.
- Enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council.
Age Limit (as on 02.09.2025):
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 42 years
- Age relaxation applicable as per Haryana Government rules (5 years for SC/BC, PwBD, etc. — upper age limit generally 52 years in some cases).
Nationality: Indian Citizen (or specified categories with eligibility certificate).

HPSC Assistant District Attorney Recruitment 2026 - Selection Process
Selection will be made strictly as per the relevant Service Rules through a multi-stage process:
- Screening Test (Objective Type) – Tentatively on 05.07.2026
- Subject Knowledge Test (Main Written Examination) – Tentatively on 09.08.2026
- Interview / Viva-Voce
The Commission may decide to hold Screening Test + Subject Knowledge Test + Interview or direct Subject Knowledge Test + Interview depending on the number of applications.
Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Subject Knowledge Test and Interview (Screening Test is only for shortlisting).
Candidates must qualify each stage to proceed to the next.
Document verification and medical fitness will be conducted before final appointment.

Candidates must apply online only. No other mode of application will be accepted. The application process involves four mandatory stages:
(i) Registration of the candidate
(ii) Filling up particulars in the application form
(iii) Payment of fee, and
(iv) Final submission of the signed application form.
Step-by-Step Application Process:
- Visit the official website https://hpsc.gov.in
- Candidates can register using their Mobile Number & Aadhaar Number. If Aadhaar data is not updated, register using Mobile Number.
- After successful registration, a Login ID will be created.
- Login and fill the online application form carefully with all required details.
- Upload scanned copies of all necessary documents.
- Pay the requisite application fee online (Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card).
- After payment, download the application form, check all details, sign it, and upload the signed copy.
- Take a printout of the finally submitted application form for future reference.
Note: Application is complete only after successful upload of the signed application form. Applications without the signed copy will be rejected.

- This is a Group-B Gazetted post in the Prosecution Department, Haryana.
- Candidates should carefully read the full advertisement before applying.
- No change in any particular (including category) is allowed after final submission of the application.
- Only one application should be submitted. In case of multiple applications, only the latest application with the highest Application Number will be considered.
- Mere issuance of admit card does not confer any right to the candidate.
- All candidates must fulfill the essential qualifications and other conditions as on the closing date (originally 02.09.2025).
- No certificate/document issued after the closing date will be accepted.
- Candidates are advised to keep their registered email ID and mobile number active till the completion of the recruitment process.
