Eligibility Criteria
- Senior Research Fellow – Essential Qualification: M. Tech./ M.E./ Postgraduate in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering/ Irrigation and Drainage Engineering/ Remote Sensing GIS/ Geospatial Technology / Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology/ Water Resources Engineering or M. Tech in equivalent engineering subject with expertise in use of advance tools and techniques for watershed planning and management with four-year degree of B. Tech or B.E.
- Young Professional-II – Essential Qualification: M. Tech./ M.E./ Postgraduate in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering/ Irrigation and Drainage Engineering/ Remote Sensing GIS/ Geospatial Technology / Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology or M. Tech in equivalent engineering subject with four-year degree of B. Tech or B.E.
Salary/Stipend
- Senior Research Fellow Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA for 3rd year.
- Young Professional-II: Rs. 42,000/- per month consolidated.
Age Limit
- Senior Research Fellow Maximum age limit 35 years for men and 40 years for women. Relaxation for ST, SC and OBC as per rule.
- Young Professional-II : Minimum age limit 21 years and maximum age 45 years as on the date of interview. Relaxation in age for ST, SC and OBC as per ICAR/Govt. of India rule.

Selection Process
- Selection will be through walk-in-interview to be held at ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar on 11.02.2026.
- Candidates have to report by 9:30 AM for document verification; no candidate will be allowed for interview after 11:00 AM.
- The Director, ICAR-IIWM reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
- The decision of the Director, ICAR-IIWM will be final and binding in all respects.
General Information/Instructions
- Interested candidates are required to bring the duly filled-in application form (Annexure-I), along with a recent passport size photograph and self-attested photocopies of required documents as well as original certificates for verification on the day of the interview.
- Candidates must bring self-attested photocopies and originals of Matriculation Certificate & Mark sheet; Higher Secondary (10+2) Certificate & Mark sheet; Graduation Certificate & Mark sheet; Post-Graduation Certificate & Mark sheet (if applicable); Ph.D. Certificate (if applicable); Caste Category Certificate in case of SC/ST and OBC applicants; copies of Work Experience (if any); and any valid Photo Identity proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/PAN Card/Driving Licence etc.). Aadhaar Card will be preferred.
- The selected candidate may be required to travel for project related work as per requirement.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- No interim enquiries will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the position.
- The engagements are purely temporary and will stand terminated automatically after completion of the period indicated in the selection offer or otherwise intimated, subject to willingness of the candidate.
- The candidate will not have any right for absorption in ICAR-IIWM/ICAR.
- The selected candidate may have to join immediately.
- The engagement is purely temporary on co-terminus basis with the project.
- The validity of the waiting list panel will be for one year from the day of declaration of result.
How to Apply
- Candidates have to appear directly for the walk-in-interview on 11.02.2026 at ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar.
- Download/obtain and duly fill the prescribed application form (Annexure-I) for the post under ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar, 751023.
- Bring the filled-in application form along with a recent passport size photograph.
- Carry self-attested photocopies and originals of all relevant educational certificates, mark sheets, caste certificate (if applicable), work experience certificates (if any), and valid photo identity proof.
- Report at ICAR-IIWM, Opp. Rail Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar-751023, Odisha, by 9:30 AM for document verification on the day of interview.
- No separate TA/DA will be provided for attending the walk-in-interview.
