Qualification Required: Master degree in the relevant subject (Soil Science) of Agriculture faculty with at least 55% marks (or its equivalent grade 6.50 in 10.00 scale with good academic record), along with NET (National Eligibility Test) or Ph.D. For candidates having Master's degree, NET qualified shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS rated journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentially NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and the candidates has at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4 on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify nor NET Exemption.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 40 years. 5 years age relaxation for ST, SC, OBC and Women candidate as per C.G. Govt. rules.
