Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of PhD Degree / provisional degree will be paid a reduced fellowship of Rs. 35,000/- per month plus HRA until the degree/provisional certificate is submitted. |
The IPDFs will be entitled to leaves and OPD medical facility as applicable to the PG students of the Institute, as laid down in the PG Manual.

IISER Bhopal IPDF Important Instructions
- Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. from IISER Bhopal are not allowed to apply for these IPDF positions.
- Ph.D. scholars who have submitted their thesis are eligible to apply, but must submit the provisional or degree certificate within six months from the date of appointment.
- It is mandatory for IPDFs to have a medical insurance policy (minimum of Rs. 1 lakh) in their name valid throughout the Fellowship period; no medical reimbursement is admissible.
- Besides research work, the selected IPDF is expected to assist in teaching course(s) as required by the Department.
- No accommodation will be provided to the IPDFs.
- No interim enquiries, correspondence, or communication of any sort will be entertained.
- Mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria does not entitle any candidate to be called for an interview.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
