Who Can Apply
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields from a recognized Institute or University. Ph.D. scholars who have submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply, provided they submit their provisional or degree certificate within six months from the date of appointment. Preference is given to candidates below 35 years of age as on the last date of submission of application.
Pay and Tenure
The appointment is initially for one year with the possibility of extension for another year based on satisfactory performance. The fellowship is Rs. 67,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per Institute rules. Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of their Ph.D. degree or provisional degree will be paid a reduced fellowship of Rs. 35,000/- per month plus HRA. Once the Ph.D. degree is submitted, the full fellowship of Rs. 67,000/- plus HRA will be restored effective from the date of award of the degree or provisional certificate. No accommodation is provided to IPDFs.
