Who Can Apply

Candidates applying for the Junior Research Fellow post must hold an M.Sc. degree with first class in Physics/Optics/Electronics and NET/GATE qualification. Experience in quantum optics/quantum key distribution is desirable. The requirement of NET/GATE examination for the selection to the post of JRF may be relaxed for the candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).

Pay and Tenure

The position offers a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA @ 27%. The appointment is contractual, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, which is up to 29/01/2031.
