IIT Delhi Project Scientist Qualification

Post Qualification Required
Project Scientist (a) Master's degree (M.S./M.Sc.) in any Biological Sciences discipline including Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, or related fields. Desirable Qualification and Experience: Knowledge of Precision Medicine and related research methodologies. Experience in software development for biological or healthcare applications. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or similar experience with bioinformatics tools, data analysis.
Project Scientist (b) Master's degree (M.Tech/M.Des) in any field of engineering/Design discipline including industrial design, UI/UX design, interaction design, HMI design, BTech/BE in engineering in computer science, Mechanical engineering electronics engineering, communications engineering, electrical engineering, etc. Desirable Qualification and Experience: Knowledge of user-centric design, design and innovation, usability in design, storytelling, UI flows, and creative thinking. Knowledge about medical devices.
Project Assistant (Tech.) B.Tech IT SKILLS* Full-Stack & Mobile: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js (MERN Stack), HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, Python, Native Android REST APIs* Software & Vision: OpenCV, OpenSlide, RGB Color Analysis, Interactive UI Flows* Database & Tools: MongoDB, SQL, Git, Docker. EXPERIENCE* Full-Stack Developer | Built GUI and backend control software for hardware developer.

IIT Delhi Project Scientist Important Instructions

  • Appointment is on a contractual basis on consolidated pay renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.
  • Candidates who are already employed in the Institute / IRD shall be interviewed unless their application has been duly forwarded by their concerned establishment/sections.
  • A 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST candidates.
  • In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
  • Unscheduled caste / Unscheduled tribe candidates who belong to the SC/ST category will be given a 5% relaxation of marks in accordance with the institutional guidelines.
