Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualifications: MPhil and MA / MSc in Clinical Psychology with minimum 01-year experience in a hospital or Psychiatry Clinic OR MA / MSc in Clinical Psychology with minimum 03 years’ experience in a hospital or Psychiatry Clinic
- Experience: Minimum 01-year with MPhil or 03 years without, in a hospital or Psychiatry Clinic. The experience may be relaxed for meritorious candidates.
- Essential Requirements: Reside in the Students Hostel in the campus. Available to attend to emergencies at any time. Good oral and written communication skills.
Salary/Stipend
- Consolidated Salary per month: ₹50,000 to 60,000/-

General Information/Instructions
- The engagement is purely temporary and contractual, initially for one year. The contract may be renewed annually, subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the Institute’s authorities.
- The Wellness Therapist will play a key role in supporting the mental, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of students at IIT Indore.
- The position focuses on providing therapeutic interventions, stress-management support, and wellness guidance through evidence-based and holistic practices.
- The role works in coordination with the Institute’s Counselling Cell, Student Affairs, and Health Centre to foster a healthy, resilient, and supportive campus environment.
- Job Profile/Responsibilities: Provide counselling services to assist community in managing mental health concerns; Provide Wellness therapy sessions focusing on Stress, Anxiety, Emotional Imbalance, Sleep Issues, Academic Pressure, and general Well-Being; Carry out initial assessments to understand community issues, concerns, and wellness needs; Identify students showing signs of distress and provide early-intervention support; Maintain confidential wellness records, follow-up plans, and progress documentation; Assist in designing and implementing campus-wide wellness programs, including Wellness Week, Exam-time relaxation sessions, and Hostel well-being activities; Collaborate with Counselling Unit, Student Affairs, Sports, and Health Centre to integrate wellness practices into student life; Develop informative content on wellness practices, coping strategies, and emotional health; Create a positive, approachable, and trust-based environment for community; Promote help-seeking behaviour among the community through outreach sessions; Conduct group sessions/workshops on stress management, emotional resilience, self-care routines, meditation, and lifestyle balance.
