IIT Kanpur Senior Project Executive Officer Recruitment 2026 Overview

Eligibility Criteria

• Ph.D. or other advanced degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Geophysics/ Earth and Atmospheric Science/ Climate Science/ Sustainability or relevant field with relevant experience. An MBA or other advanced degree will be preferred and should have experience in managing and driving projects.
• Duration in Ph.D. degree: after three years, will be considered as research experience.
• Applicant should have wide written communication (excellent written and verbal communication in English) and oral communication skills.
• Applicant should have knowledge of paper filing, accounting, and procedures for ordering/purchasing and should be versed in adjusting to running around jobs (fixing items, following up with purchase, repair, etc.).
• Should have experience in managing an office, laboratory, and lab projects.
• Should be well qualified and possess strong understanding of interacting with the Government eMarketplace.
• Should be versed in keeping checks on timelines, smooth execution of projects, arranging meetings, and coordination with project teams and stakeholders.
• Applicant should have prior experience on logistic arrangements for meetings, seminars, workshops and coordinating visits.
• The applicant should be highly skilled and knowledgeable in social media and web-based applications, Google calendar, and possess working knowledge of English and Hindi.
• The applicant must also be acquainted with working knowledge of computer-based office applications.

Salary/ Stipend

• Consolidated Salary Range: INR 70000-200000 per month (Salary shall be commensurate with experience & skills)

Selection Process

• The department reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for the shortlisting of eligible candidates satisfying qualifications and experience.
• The selection will be based on online and/or offline interviews.

General Information / Instructions

• Duration of Appointment: 1 year or till the end of the project (whichever is earlier), renewed annually based on performance.
• Other benefits: He/she will get the opportunity to work in a conducive environment and can avail the hostel/family accommodation facility (according to availability) at IIT Kanpur. As regards the medical facilities, only the OPD facility for self shall be available at the Health Centre of IIT Kanpur without any reimbursement of the cost of medicines. Any outside referral shall not be reimbursed. For this purpose, a medical booklet shall be provided to you on request.
