Indian Army 68th SSCW (Technical) Recruitment 2026 Notification Out – Apply Online for 30 Posts

The Indian Army SSCW (Tech)-68 Recruitment 2026 is a recruitment drive for the 68th Short Service Commission (Technical) Women Course, commencing in April 2027. It offers unmarried women engineering graduates an opportunity to join the Indian Army as commissioned officers. Widows of defence personnel are also eligible under specific Technical and Non-Technical categories.

The Indian Army has announced 30 stream-wise vacancies for women engineering graduates under the SSCW (Tech)-68 course. The vacancies are distributed among Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and other engineering disciplines. Separate vacancies are also reserved for widows of defence personnel.

Candidates must possess a B.E. or B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university. Final-year engineering students who can submit proof of passing by 01 April 2027 are also eligible to apply. Widows applying under the Non-Technical category must hold a graduation degree in any discipline.

Applicants should be 20 to 27 years of age as on 01 April 2027 for the Technical entry. Widows of defence personnel applying under the Technical or Non-Technical categories can be up to 35 years of age. Candidates must satisfy the prescribed age criteria mentioned in the official notification.

The selection process includes application screening, shortlisting based on academic performance, a 5-day SSB Interview, medical examination, preparation of the final merit list, and issue of the joining letter. There is no written examination for this recruitment. Final selection depends on merit and medical fitness.

Candidates should meet the prescribed physical standards, including completing a 2.4 km run in 13 minutes, 15 push-ups, 2 pull-ups, and 25 sit-ups. Basic swimming knowledge is also desirable. Maintaining physical fitness before the SSB and medical examination is highly recommended.

The online application process begins on 08 July 2026 (1500 hrs) and closes on 06 August 2026 (1500 hrs). The shortlist is expected in the first week of September 2026, while the SSB interviews are likely to be conducted between October and December 2026.
