A total of 109 vacancies have been announced (69 at Bongaigaon + 40 at Guwahati) for various Trade Apprentice and Technician Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended).
Candidates with 3 years B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry) or 3 years Diploma in relevant Engineering disciplines can apply. Applications must be submitted through NAPS/NATS portal followed by mandatory Microsoft Form submission.

- B.Sc Stream (Codes 101 & 103): 3 years B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry)
- Diploma Stream: 3 years Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engg. (or related)
- PwBD candidates can apply only against identified seats (Code 107 at Bongaigaon; Codes 105 & 107 at Guwahati)
- Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD in reserved seats)
- Higher qualifications like B.E./B.Tech not allowed
