Selection Process
Selection will be made through Walk-in-Interview only.
- Candidates must fill the prescribed Application Form (attached with the advertisement) completely.
- Submit the filled Application Form at the venue of the interview along with:
- Original documents + one set of self-attested photocopies of all required certificates.
- Three recent passport size photographs.
- Interview will be conducted on the spot.
- Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of credentials, educational qualification, experience (if any) and performance in the personal interview.
- Offer of engagement will be issued to the suitable candidates in the order of merit and as per the number of vacancies.
- In addition to the main panel, a reserved panel will also be prepared which will be used in case of any shortfall.
- Engagement is subject to being found medically fit as per IRCTC norms.
How to Apply
Application Mode: Walk-in-Interview only (No online application).
Steps to Apply:
- Download and fill the prescribed Application Form (attached with the notification) in all respects.
- Bring the filled Application Form along with:
- Original + one set of self-attested copies of all educational certificates, experience certificates (if any), category certificate, Aadhaar, etc.
- Three recent passport size photographs.
- Appear personally at the venue on the scheduled date and time for document verification and interview.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
Note: In case of extension of interview dates, candidates will have to arrange their own stay and food.
General Instructions
- Engagement is purely contractual for an initial period of 02 years and extendable by one more year based on requirement and satisfactory performance. It will not confer any right for regular/permanent employment in IRCTC.
- Contract can be terminated by giving one month’s notice by either side.
- Selected candidates will have to furnish a Security Deposit of ₹25,000/- (DD/NEFT).
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Candidates working in Govt./PSUs must produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview and proper relieving letter at the time of joining.
- Candidates should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility criteria. If any false information is found at any stage, candidature/services will be terminated.
- IRCTC reserves the right to cancel/amend the advertisement or the selection process at any stage.
- Number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per requirement.
- Knowledge of computer (MS Office) and preparation of reports is essential.
- Good communication skills in English & Hindi are mandatory; knowledge of local languages (Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam) is an added advantage.
- The selected candidate may be posted in Tamil Nadu, Kerala & Karnataka and can be deployed anywhere in India as per requirement.

- Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
