SDSC SHAR Teacher Recruitment 2026 - Pay Level and Age Limit

This section answers how much these teaching posts pay and what the upper age cut-off is, since both vary by post code under the 7th CPC pay matrix.

Post Code Post Pay Matrix Level Age Limit (as on 07.07.2026)
01 to 04 Trained Graduate Teacher Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400) 18-35 years

SDSC SHAR Teacher Recruitment 2026 - Application Fee and Refund Rules

Here's what candidates need to pay and when they can expect a refund, since SDSC SHAR follows a two-part fee structure unlike a flat one-time fee.

Component Amount
Application Fee Rs. 250
Processing Fee Rs. 500
Total Payable at Submission Rs. 750

All candidates pay Rs. 750 online at the time of application submission, since no other payment mode is accepted. Refunds are processed only for candidates who appear in the Written Test: women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates (who are exempt from the application fee) get the full Rs. 750 back, while all other candidates get Rs. 500 back after the application fee is deducted. SDSC SHAR is not responsible for pending or failed transactions, so candidates are advised to register and pay well before the closing date.

Documents Required for Online Upload

Applications without the correct uploads are rejected outright, so candidates should keep these documents scanned and ready before starting the form.

  • Recent passport-size colour photograph - JPG format, 110 x 140 pixels, under 40 KB.
  • Signature - JPG format, 200 x 50 pixels, under 20 KB.
  • SC/ST/Disability/Ex-Servicemen certificate (as applicable) - PDF, under 1 MB.
  • Essential qualification documents - PDF, under 1 MB.
  • No Objection Certificate (if employed in Government/PSU/Autonomous body).

The photograph and signature uploaded must be clear and legible; failure to meet this requirement leads to cancellation of candidature. Uploaded documents are verified at the Skill Test stage, and mere admission to the Written Test does not guarantee selection.

Selection Process: Written Test and Skill Test

SDSC SHAR shortlists and selects teachers through a two-stage process - a written exam followed by a practical skill demonstration - explained below with the exact marking scheme.

Written Test (CBT)

The Computer Based Test checks both the theoretical and practical knowledge of candidates across the prescribed syllabus. For Primary Teacher, TGT (Maths), TGT (Science), and TGT (WET), the paper carries 180 marks split into four parts - Languages (20), General Awareness/Reasoning/Computers (20), Education & Leadership Perspective (40), and Subject Specific (100). For TGT (Telugu), the 180-mark paper covers General English/Awareness/Reasoning (20), Education Perspectives (20), Pedagogy (40), and Telugu Language & Literature (100).

Post Subject-Wise Question Split Minimum Qualifying Marks
TGT (Maths) 50% Maths + 50% Physics 40% each subject; 50% aggregate
TGT (Science) 40% Biology + 30% Chemistry + 30% Physics 40% each subject; 50% aggregate

Based on Written Test performance, candidates are shortlisted for the Skill Test, generally in a 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates category-wise.

Skill Test

The Skill Test is purely qualifying in nature, evaluated out of 100 marks, with a minimum qualifying score of 60%. It is a chalk-and-board based test where each candidate is given a subject-related topic and must demonstrate subject knowledge and teaching ability by conducting a mock class.

Final Merit and Tie-Breakers

Final selection is based purely on Written Test marks among candidates who clear the Skill Test, with empanelment done as per the number of notified vacancies. In case of a tie, the academic score of the essential qualification (PG/Graduation/Senior Secondary, as applicable) is the first tie-breaker, followed by the candidate's age (senior candidates get preference) as the second tie-breaker.
