Each post in the JIPMER 2026 recruitment carries specific educational qualification and experience requirements. Candidates must fulfil all conditions as on the last date of online registration (1 July 2026).
Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale)
Candidates must hold a recognised MBBS degree registered under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with the relevant postgraduate qualification and post-PG experience as per the specialty:
- Anaesthesiology: M.D. in Anaesthesiology + 3 years post-PG experience in a recognised institution.
- Cardiology: D.M. in Cardiology. 1 year post-DM experience required only for 2-year or 5-year DM courses; no experience required for 3-year or 6-year DM.

Important Instructions for JIPMER 2026 Applicants
Candidates must read these critical points before and after submitting their online application to avoid rejection or disqualification at any stage:
- The application once submitted is final. No changes will be entertained under any circumstances. If an error is found, a fresh application with a new fee must be submitted before the closing date; the earlier application stands automatically cancelled.
- Candidates recruited for a particular JIPMER campus cannot claim transfer to another campus. However, the competent authority reserves the right to transfer candidates if needed.
- For the post of GDMO, candidates must indicate their order of campus preference (Puducherry, Karaikal, Yanam) at the time of application. This preference is final and cannot be changed at any stage.
- All updates regarding CBT, interview, and results will be published only on the JIPMER website. Individual letters will not be sent to shortlisted candidates.
