Specialist Grade II (Junior Scale)

Candidates must hold a recognised MBBS degree registered under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with the relevant postgraduate qualification and post-PG experience as per the specialty:

  • Anaesthesiology: M.D. in Anaesthesiology + 3 years post-PG experience in a recognised institution.
  • Cardiology: D.M. in Cardiology. 1 year post-DM experience required only for 2-year or 5-year DM courses; no experience required for 3-year or 6-year DM.
  • Medicine: M.D. in Medicine + 3 years post-PG experience in a recognised institution.
  • Nephrology: D.M. in Nephrology. 1 year post-DM experience required for 2-year or 5-year DM; no experience for 3-year or 6-year DM.
  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology: M.D./M.S. in Obstetrics & Gynaecology + 3 years post-PG experience.

General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO)

Candidates must hold a medical qualification included in Schedule I or II or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, along with 3 years of post-internship experience after completing the 1-year compulsory internship.

Child Psychologist

  • M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology or equivalent from a recognised institute/university.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health in a recognised institute or hospital.
  • Valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) - Central Rehabilitation Register (CRR) is mandatory.

Important Instructions for JIPMER 2026 Applicants

  • The application once submitted is final. No changes will be entertained under any circumstances. If an error is found, a fresh application with a new fee must be submitted before the closing date; the earlier application stands automatically cancelled.
