Essential Experience
- For Medical Candidates (General Disciplines): 03 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD/MS or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto
- For Medical Candidates (Super-Specialty Disciplines): 01 years teaching and research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the degree of DM/M.Ch (02 years or 05 years recognized course after MBBS) OR qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 03 years recognized degree of DM/M.Ch OR qualification equivalent thereto
Desirable
- No. of Publications: 02 publications required
- Only original papers, meta-analysis, systematic reviews, and case series that are published in journals indexed in Medline, PubMed, Central Science Index, Science Citation Index, Expanded Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ) will be considered
- Published by a National/International-Specialty Journal/Journal of a National/International Society provided it is included in one of the indexes mentioned above
Salary/Stipend
- Pay Scale: Level 11
- Salary Range: Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700 Per Month
- Applicable for Assistant Professor posts across all 30 disciplines
Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025)
- Maximum Age Limit: 50 years (as per Government Order No. 109-IMS of 1988 dated August 8th, 1988)
- For JKPSC In-Service Permanent Employees: The upper age limit shall be determined in terms of Government Order No. 09-JKPSC of 2013 dated 08.03.2013
- Note: Candidates who are already in government service and intend to apply as in-service candidates shall, besides applying online, route their application form attested by Head of the Department through their Administrative Department

- Selection will be done as per the "Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2022" issued under Gazette Notification No. F. No. NMC/MCI-23(1) 2021-MED dated 14.02.2022
- Teaching experience as per AIIMS Recruitment Rules will be considered
- Selection process follows Govt order No.09-JKPSC of 2013 dated March 08, 2013 and Govt. Order No.11-JKPSC of 1998, dated May 22, 1998
- Process conducted in accordance with Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (Business and Procedure) Rules, 2021, as amended up-to date
- Document verification will be conducted for shortlisted candidates
- Candidature will remain provisional till verification of all certificates by the Appointing Authority
