Eligibility Criteria
- Educational qualifications range from 10th/12th with trade certificates (Cook, Library Attendant, Security Assistant) to Bachelor’s degrees (Stenographer, Personal Assistant, JEs) and Master’s degrees (Internal Audit Officer, Program Officer, Semi-Professional Assistant), plus specific training/experience as per each post.
- Age limit generally 40 years for most direct recruitment posts; up to 56 years for deputation/tenure posts such as Superintendent Engineer and Executive Engineer; internal JMI employees with 3+ years’ regular service have no upper age limit.
- Knowledge of Hindi and Urdu is a desirable qualification for all non-teaching posts, along with computer proficiency where specified.

- Most posts: Upper age limit 40 years; relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen and other categories as per Central Govt. orders adopted by JMI.

Selection Process
- Shortlisting and selection based on written test, skill test, trade test and/or interview depending on the post.
